    Técnico: Tite

After steam rolling through Argentina 3 x 0, we head to Lima to play 8th placed Peru. From a qualifying point of view, we are pretty comfortable. Uruguay is only a point behind, but third place Colombia is now a full 6 points behind. In fact, since the single group qualifying method was implemented, 27 points has always guaranteed a qualifying spot to the World Cup. We could achieve that with a win in Lima. If that doesn't mathematically guarantee us, another win vs Uruguay in the next round would do so. That would be the earliest we've qualified for a WC.

In the home game we comfortably beat Peru 3 x 0, but they've been on a good streak as of late. They've recently beat Bolivia away, beat Equador, tied Argentina away, and in the last round categorically beat Paraguay 4 x 1 in Asunción. This recent run of good results has gotten them dreaming of a qualifying spot for the World Cup for the first time since 1982. They are currently sitting in 8th but only 3 points behind 4th and 5th place. So theoretically speaking, this won't be an easy game.

I expect Tite to pick the same team as Philippe Coutinho seems to have won Willian's spot with a good performance vs Argentina. Marcelo is suspended so Filipe Luis should take his place.

A few mistakes, we lost to Bolivia and we drew Argentina at home. However the 3 points gathered from Bolivia breaking the rules gave us a huge boost.

Regardless, we have only lost 2 games since June. 2 losses in the last 9.

Even though F. Luis will start in Marcelo's place, Tite has called up left back Fabio Santos of A. Mineiro as a backup for F. Luis!! Another former player that Tite is familiar with!!

I'm still watching Brazil matches of course but Conembol really went in raw on Bolivia. Makes it hard to support the organization when they are destroying the libertadores/brasileirao. The conembol ualifiers are one of the coolest things left, just sucks seeing the weakest team raw dogged. I bet Brazil, Argentina, Colombia would have escaped "punishment".

Damn that was down memory lane!! Antonio Carlos scored the only goal, Vanderlei Luxembourgo was coach, and Edmundo got sent off in the 90th minute!! Lol

And we also won our Copa'04 in Peru!!

    With players like
Guerrero - played for Tite and now with Flamengo,
    Cueva - SPFC,
    coach Gareca - Palmeiras,
Peru is going to be as strong team ...
They know about Tite and Brasilian style...
This will be a tough test for Tite and our players!

Should have been 1 x 0 for them. Alves went to sleep on the give and go.

Paulinho needs to get warmed up first before he scores... Like 3 games worth of warming up... ;)
