Bayern Munich striker Giovane Elber has admitted that a move to up-and-coming Spanish first division side Real Betis would tempt him. "Given the atmosphere there, a move to Betis would be a pleasure. I do have a desire to play in Spain," admitted the 30-year-old goal-machine, who is reportedly being courted by the Seville side's Brazilian stars Denilson and Asuncao as well. Elber, 30, has a contract at Bayern Munich until the end of next campaign, but since the record-German champions won't be able to cash in on him once next season starts they would almost certainly have to think long and hard over any offer over $5 m.
Translated into work ethics speak means "I can sit on my ass all afternoo party all night and still make the 1000 hrs practices and get paid millions". Geez who wouldn't want to play for Betis! Then you wonder why this team is going no where! Lopera get your fat ass out of the presidency and give Betis back to the real beticos! Viva er eurobeti manque lopera! Pichi
Mario--Yes I am back. With military operations coming to a close, I am no longer busy with mobilization missions out here in California, plus I just picked up a Battalion Command which gets me out of operations! No it's not you, I agree that he was the savior for Betis when they went public and thanks to him Betis is still around. But everything else he has done for the club has been for his pocketbook and he is like a cancer and the longer that he is left to do what he wants the club is just getting worse and worse. 1. we have the worse secretario tecnico "Luis de Sol" in the liga. 2. we lose all the managers who have had the balls to tell Lopera what he can do with himself and because of that all we get are yes men and Victor Fernandez is a yes man. 3. Everytime he open his mouth about how many points Betis needs to remain in primera the team packs it in and goes in a nose dive, yet nothing is done to those players the next year. 4. Everything must pass thru his desk for approval and it shows, shitty website, non-existent marketing, no press secretary to take on the lousy Spanish soccer press, millions spent on lousy signings and still Malaga and Sevilla are in front of us and if the team keeps it up, Huelva will soon pass them up too, all with budgets half the size of Betis. I could go on but BS limits message sizes. But yes I am back and with a vengeance!! Viva Er Beti Manque Lopera!! Pichi 5.
Glad to see you 'patrolling' again, Pichi. Mario- ¿por que no tienes gusto de Elber? He's scrappy and he doesn't screw up his chances, yes? He's getting a little old, but he's got to have two or three solid years left, I would think.
Well, mainly because he's 31 right now and it seems he will need to adapt and honestly he's not the pure race goalscorer I'd sign!
