¡Indios decidme qué se siente! ¡Haber perdido OTRA final!

A solid performance with a 1-0 and 2-0 win would be perfect at this stage.

With Raul and Rudiger back at CB and Fede at RB / Mendy at LB we have a solid enough defence to keep them out

I don't expect the scoring to be high, not in the 1st leg, hoping I am wrong though and we blitz them

This gonna be tight. With Athleti it always is.

I actually think Real will lose 0-1 because of the weak midfield. But the second leg will be 1-2 in favour of RM winning with pens away.

Two close games and at the end we prevail, as the norm against these bafoons

This is a 180-minute game. No matter what the score is today, the winner will be decided next week.

My expectations are tempered with us missing Jude and Ceballos.

    My team would be..

    Mendy, Rudigier, Asencio and Fede
    Modric, Tchouameni and Brahim
    Rodrygo, Mbappe and Vinicius

I would play Rodrygo and Brahim as midfielders with Modric and Tchouameni.

Free roam roles with Mbappe and Vini up top.

So what's the plan, are we just going to hoof it to our front two and wingers?

To play a game of football and hope the multitudes of talent on the pitch don’t have to be told the basics

I'm excited to see Camavinga starting alongside Tchouameni in midfield. Time for Eduardo to play a creative role as well.

Come on man... now you're being miserable to be miserable?

I have the same lineup but with Modric for Camavinga. I can even understand why he chose Camavinga over Modric because we have two offensive players we are using as midfielders on the right and left.

Carlo didn't force Lucas or Alaba in this lineup.

Let's give the man credit instead of nitpicking when for all we know he got it perfectly right.

Expect a lot more from him. I was hoping to see Camavinga in the Bellingham role before the starting line up. Missing Ceballos changes things though.

I'll take a one goal lead going into the 2nd leg.

That's the best 11 avail players Carlo can pick from, let get a win, otherwise the forum armchair experts would be all over Carlo. Now it's up to these guys to get the result, that's what they're getting paid for.

Bold midfield. Brahim from the start...not much spark from the bench.

ok then...let blitz these f*ckers. Give them hell.

Midfield looks a bit soft and prone to get run over but that's the best XI we got right now so fingers crossed!
