That’s fair, I don’t think anyone had a good game other than Mbappe and Courtois. Modric came on when there was less intensity, which suits him more and he was able to distribute the ball really well in moments. I thought Diaz made a good cameo where his dribbling ability got him past the 3 Barca players on a number of occasions and he was able to release the ball quickly into the attack.

Fede and Ceballos really didn’t offer much in the MF. Arda isn’t a RW, and I wasn’t surprised he looked like crap in that role.

Jude was totally anonymous, I hope it’s the shoulder to explain his drop in form all season.

Vinny, he was EXCELLENT

Fran did his best, got a few stops on Yamal but that’s not enough.

I feel bad for LV, it’s a shame Carlo put him in the position he was in. He’s probably gutted on how this season has turned out.

Our defense comes under a huge pressure because of the lack of ability to dominante the midfield. One thing is to solve the defense problems, but no matter who we sign in defense, i hope next season will bring back more dominance and control in midfield.

 

Giving players 3-5 yards of space at the top of the 18 is a recipe for disaster with Barca. They had all of the time and space to pick passes.

I agree that the MF didn’t do anything, one of our issues all season.

For example, Vinny did an EXCELLENT job letting Yamal ghost through the left side on many occasions leaving Fran high and dry.

 

Every time they attacked they were right at the edge of the box. I thought the scoreline flattered us big time and they absolutely butchered our midfield and defense. We simply lack quality in those two areas. When Barcelona was poor this wasn't that obvious, but now it's not going to be enough just to sort out the defence.

 

Vini created 5 chances the most in the team and he barely had any touches of the ball because we kept hoofing it up. Get your rose tinted glasses off for a minute and try to argue objectively. Roll eyes

 

Barcas front 4 averaged 6 shots between them. Apart from Mbappe nobody registered more than one shot for us. We are so so bad at building attacks right now. Next season cant come soon enough.

If I see our wingers stuck on out on the wings next season I am going to flip. Look at Raphina and Lamine where they receive the ball. Rarely stuck out on the wings like out wingers. Oh and the midifled needs serious work, we need to choose a trident and work with it. No more playing players out of position.

Barca aren't even that good. Them outscoring their opponents only worked that far until a team that isn't even known for its attacking prowess dropped 7 goals on them in 2 games. I think iF we can get our own games sorted we can definitely win the league next season

A bad performance from Vinicius Jr. Good assist to Real Madrid's second and third goals, but apart from that, he almost got it all wrong. Bad passes, bad first touches to kill them momentum and the attack. Real Madrid will need more from him next season. Rating: 5
