Valencia also. Dropped points because Madrid scored a goal and then were happy to play out a game hanging on for dear life. Honestly, a coach like Ancelotti who routinely relies on "remontadas" and "suffering" was eventually going to have that blow up in his face. He got away it for as long as he could...until he couldn't.

That hasnt stopped you from posting before tho. But now it conveniently does. And saying you recieve stats to analyze a game to show you do understand what happened, isnt a flex at all.

It just means you cant analyze for $h+t without any outside help.

There is a style mismatch (mainly, this team is unable to deal with Barcelona's gung-ho high pressing in a consistent manner) and whatever Carlo is trying to do is not being coached/executed properly.

Ultimately your defense is in shambles but you have the offensive players to outscore any team in the world. Seeing Mbappe and Vini run into each other in a two man line is hilarious considering how much space they both had. Seeing our technically skilled midfielders not know where their outlets are under a press is depressing. I don’t know if Xabi will work, but I know that this team needs a system. Carlo for all the good he does in man management and working with what he has, this is not the team at the right stage for him. This team needs someone to teach them and take them to the next level tactically, and reduce the individual free styling that’s happening out there.

It needs to take some of the skill out, because the way I see it, Vini and others are using it in the wrong place at the wrong time. I agree that winning and losing is what matters, we’ve lost when it matters this season. The warning signs were there from last year.

The thing is, even last season I thought that they were better than they showed. Can any of our midfielders do those quick turns away from an opponent that Pedri and De Jong do? It's difficult to take the ball away from them. Can Valverde do that? Or Tchouameni?
