Zidane clapping Bale everytime he shows his defensive workrate, long throws and interceptions always put me to smiles. He sacrificed his legs for it and never gave up runs. After all the controversial crap between the 2, it felt refreshing that they trust each other now.
"The arbitration committee will not publish the audio from the VAR records regarding the Varane penalty." OK then.
That's quite shady, but not surprising. This is market practice for Clasico's. We have lost numerous ones over the years due to 'mistakes' by the ref. The Varane situation was such a clear penalty call, I couldn't believe my eyes when it wasn't given. I think I also saw a stat where Real Madrid committed like 20 fouls and Barca 4 or 5, when the game was very, very soft. The ref simply whistled for any touch (as usual) by Real Madrid and waved play on for anything by Barca. I feel like the players have behaved in a very classy way by not surrounding the ref etc., even though it is a proven 'tactic' that has given certain clubs a lot of joy over the years in the way of trophies...
First visiting team to keep a clean sheet in 34 matches at camp Nou. Although I won't say that's entirely credit to our defense. Messi caved in to the pressure and fluffed a certain goal in front of Courtois
• More recoveries. (55) • more than twice as many shots. (17) • 60% of the game was played their half. • THREE times as many corner kicks. (6) • FOUR times the amount of crosses. (32) • Better pass completion. (88.3%)
I saw a stat (not sure if correct) stating we haven't received a penalty kick in camp nou in over a decade. Edit: Thread 1207735053880635392 is not a valid tweet id
The only obvious penalty I saw was when Rakitic clearly dragged Varane over in the box ... (Barca fan here)
To be fair bud ... you’re on dangerous ground there given we had to tolerate the psychotic tendencies of Pepe for all those years .. I come in peace ...
The stomp on Varane's thigh, on live or direct replays to me was not obvious, I could see varane was tackled/hit but as Lenglet got to ball first I thought ok, no call might acceptable. But looking the still image, there is no way that shouldn't be called, and at least a yellow given.
Ofc it is. You're a Barca fan, you being blind isn't anything surprising otherwise you wouldn't cheer for such a disgusting team.
I’m saying that it should have been a penalty for you .. Rakitic pulled Varane’s shirt dragging him over - what are you whining about ?
"The only obvious penalty was the shirt pull". Sure, the scars on Varane's leg must be stretch marks.
