Pisilli and Rensch should have seen more minutes by now rather than being thrown in at a kinda whim....nonetheless happy to see them get a chance tonight.
You giving up on him already...Patience, hes 20 and injured a lot..He needs a run of consistency but I didnt like the Gasperini attitude comment. Thats more concerning than the performance at his age.
What a weak penalty, VAR should've intervened there. And two yellows too in the aftermath, what a fckin wanker.
Nothing to see here really. Only doing what we should be doing against a bad team....but good showing from Ferg with the goals. Weakest awarded pen you'll ever see. We'll play a proper team on Monday.....every chance they'll press us to death....unless we can figure out how we're going to deal with it because we sure as shit wont bypass it with our on the ball quality
The Nancy appointment helped Roma a lot. They have no idea what he wants after having Martin O Neil as an interim. They done the job by ht and just shut off the game.
Celtics manager was Fonseca levels of woke. They continued to try and try again to build out from the back vs our press. I dont think they crossed midfield the first 20 minutes.
I was at the game tonight, it felt very tense amongst the Celtic fans. Right from the off they were unhappy with Nancy's approach. Despite Roma not getting out of first gear they were very clearly the better team. After Bailey's goal half the stadium emptied and never returned after it was over turned. Maybe I brought some Irish luck to Ivan blockhead.
Will probably need 4p from the remaining two games to secure a top 8 finish and even that won't be enough with a bit of bad luck. I fear the triple-miss-penalty against Lille will haunt us at the end.
They had just well beat Feyenoord away with a sensible manager and then rushed to hire this muppet. It would have been a different game for Roma and probably more ennoyable for you if they didnt make a change. The board have lost direction. Rodgers had basically held the lack of investment together for the last 2 years. Theyre in a Man U situation behind the scenes.
Soccer America Daily Europa League: Celtic takes a beating in Wilfried Nancy’s second game in charge by Mike WoitallaDecember 11, 2025 GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - DECEMBER 11: Stephan El Shaarawy of AS Roma is challenged by (L-to-R) Auston Trusty, Callum McGregor and Hyun-jun Yang of Celtic. (Photo by Alex Pantling - UEFA/UEFA via Getty Images) Celtic’s 3-0 Europa League loss to Roma made former Columbus Crew coach Wilfried Nancy the first Celtic coach to lose his first two games. Auston Trusty started, as he did in Sunday’s Premiership 2-1 home loss to Hearts, and fared better than his backline mates, who included own-goal scorer Liam Scales. (Cameron Carter-Vickers is injured). The loss dropped Celtic to 24th place, one spot above the elimination zone on difference. From the Press: Scotland: The Scottish Sun: “Wilfried Nancy’s game-plan nowhere to be seen as Hoops dismantled by Serie A giants.” The Herald on Trusty: “Started the match on the right side of Celtic’s back three but moved to a more central role after Kieran Tierney made way for Colby Donovan. He was naturally more involved in the second 45 and, on the whole, didn’t do much wrong.”
Celtic must be that dog shit that even the worse ever striker to wear the Roma top scored twice. Celtic looked like a baby child of a Zeman team.
14pts got top 8 last season. Defo need to beat Stuttgart at home next anyway....then see where we are. Be nice to win that and have a pass final match.
Yeah I can't remember the relationship between the club and the fans ever being this toxic. A gradual change of system while the ship is being steadied by the safe pair of O'Neill's hands would've made more sense. We've seen it many many times as romanisti that a system change mid season isn't the remedy. The loss to Hearts, the absent green brigade, the division between the board and fans, add onto the defeat in Europe and in the cup. I'm just glad it's not Roma for a change.
