Ekstraklasa... how bad is it?

    so the Polish Ekstraklasa champion (Legia Warsaw) lost to the Cypriot First Divsion champion (AC Omonia) in the 2nd round of the UCL eliminations

    population of Poland 38 million
    population of Cyprus 1.1 million

    and the Cypriot First Division does not even cover the whole island... its only the Greek side
    the Turkish side is represented by the KTFF Super Lig

    did I mention the game was a home game for Legia?

    i don't mean to pick on Legia, they're just the latest example, all the Polish clubs preform VERY poorly playing in UCL or EL

    so what gives? will it get any worse before it gets better? should we just send our young players abroad before they're ruined so they can be trained by professionals in professional and modern facilities?
