so the Polish Ekstraklasa champion (Legia Warsaw) lost to the Cypriot First Divsion champion (AC Omonia) in the 2nd round of the UCL eliminations https://www.espn.com/soccer/match?gameId=578847 population of Poland 38 million population of Cyprus 1.1 million and the Cypriot First Division does not even cover the whole island... its only the Greek side the Turkish side is represented by the KTFF Super Lig did I mention the game was a home game for Legia? i don't mean to pick on Legia, they're just the latest example, all the Polish clubs preform VERY poorly playing in UCL or EL so what gives? will it get any worse before it gets better? should we just send our young players abroad before they're ruined so they can be trained by professionals in professional and modern facilities?
Polish football teams today are not sport - only business since about 20-30 years. Bigger club is - less sport is in it. Ofc cash is important, but today is main thing in the whole game. thats why polish football looks like this... https://bizsport.pl/biznes-sport/no...iusz-mioduski-na-stanowisku-przewodniczacego/
