The last post can be compared to the Fulham perspective of the same events in the first half.

I wonder if EJ has even scored in training?

Come on, he hit 2 posts in 2 matches.

You know how difficult that is?

I still have faith in EJ, though i'm a little worried with AJ coming in and I heard Roy was in the market for another striker. Yeah he hasn't scored in a league game but he didn't do bad for the reserves last season. He just got here, this will be his first full season, I'm not giving up on him.

Both of these players are completely hopeless and I hope you all realize there isn't much left for either of them as far as increasing skill levels is concerned.

you're right. Let's hope that the Harrisburg City Islanders have a couple roster spots open to sign these guys, otherwise they might have to start looking for administrative assistant jobs.

Nah, they can always go to the Sounders and help them struggle through to 5 wins on the season for 2009 and repeat it again for 2010....

It's hard to judge based on those reports, but it doesn't seem like EJ did that badly. Nearly scored and drew a foul in reasonable range to do something from a free kick. He's not a lost cause.

Clint Dempsey saves Fulham from relegation one year, becomes their leading goalscorer the 2nd, and is now termed "hopeless".

    only on fing big soccer.

He's hopeless, better to pursue the rap game for CD.

EJ, He's hopeless too. Might think about holding a travelling youth camp in the states to finish out until retirement age.

Fickle sports fans...meh, dime a dozen.

Typically never played competitively, don't know much about playing the sport.

Dempsey had a solid first full season in the BPL, not spectacular. Good solid basis to build on. Certainly not hopeless, as the uneducated are accusing him of being.

Speed should be his main focus this year.

What kind of speed? Sprint Speed, Speed with the Ball, Stepover speed?
Hopefully all of them cause his head can't keep him up for that long.

Not only that, but a cheery attitude would do wonders for him. He looks depressed as hell all the time. He isn't going to be America's Cruijff so he should get over it and enjoy himself out there...
