Man! I jsut went through all 28 pages! Great thread! This game couldnt have gone any better! Well except the red card for nacho. He probably lost his cool, with his strong tackling. Freddy scored though, and seems to be getting used to putting in work chasing down guys on counter attacks. Good news for those that ask for more defense out of him. He is a good player, with a high soccer IQ. I said it before, this was the best move for him, given the style of play adu plays and what aris place, it was a match made in heaven. Not to mention playing alongside one of my favorite bolivian players, I get to see him more then ever now! He also has a world class coach behind him (freddy), better coaching he'd ever get, considering the mess he has gone through in his career, this is a gift, and i hope he stays at aris for a couple years to get him back on the USNT radar, and keeps scoring and becoming the star we all knew he was, but finally he is getting playing time and the ability to finally let loose like he has in the U20 tourneys.

i am going to go off topic for a second here, but if Adu keeps this up, the US roster for SA will get some very interesting discussions around April/May.
especially with some of his competition firmly planted on the bench (Stuart Holden, im looking your general direction)
If adu can keep up these goals, and good efforts he may be considered as good depth for forward off the bench, supporting striker.
Panathinaikos is the half national team almost. The Greeks around Europe are Samaras at Celtic, Charisteas at Bayer Leverkusen, Gkekas at Herta Berlin, Amanatidis at Eintracht, Pliatsikas at Schalke.
Maybe it's this guy! Where is Aris in the league now? And with how many games left? Is a Champions League spot still a possibility. Or Europa?
it's a little much to say Holden is "firmly planted on the bench", he's only been there a few weeks and injured his calf right after he arrived.
Ah yes...forgot that goal. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCpIQalU2ao"]YouTube- Freddy Adu at Benfica[/ame]
Everything is possible since we have playoff games. We re 5th, 1 point behind AEK which is our next opponent at Athens.
man, that clip sure bring back memories. it was very exciting watching Adu at Benfica for the first 6 months. so much promise....ahh well, looks like he might have finally found a GREAT home now.
nono i share the file but when i open utorrent program and i start the download of the torrent the download doesnt start
I felt really good about this situation, much better than Adu's first three. So far so good. What's interesting is he's playing kinda sorta the same role as Landon...a wide playmaker. Not a traditional winger, just an attacking mid. As a general YA issue, look at what's happened so far with Freddy and Landon. Without the roster restrictions there are in MLS, it's far more difficult to find the "right" situation in Europe. You need to shoot high enough, but not too high, and the window is pretty narrow.
like at 2009? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6z59oXzDVBg"]YouTube- Matchday 29: AEK v Aris 0-1 (23' Koke)[/ame]
