Almost finished setting up for my Accrington Stanley-Ipswich FA Cup watch party. Got a full waffle bar and 12 handles of Popov for screwdrivers.
Really appreciate ESPN streaming League 1 and 2 matches when there's a chance. Today English League Two Mansfield Town v Lincoln City 3:45 PM ESPN+
The Football League Trophy Final between Sunderland and Portsmouth is on ESPN+ Sunday morning. 9:30 ET. Sold out Wembley Stadium, should be good.
I think I saw it on connect though. And now with DVR capabilities on sling it would have been nice to watch it later.
Great lineup this weekend as May promotions loom Saturday Middlesbrough v Reading 10:00 AM ESPN+ Sheffield United v Ipswich Town 12:15PM ESPN+ Norwich City v Blackburn Rovers 2:30PM ESPN+ Sunday Leeds United v Aston Villa 7:00AM ESPN+
SPOILERS Unlike last year sadly it looks like the final matchday on Sunday in the Championship will be a dud, with the two automatically promoted teams and three relegated teams decided, and if Derby beat Swansea tomorrow, the playoff teams will be all but decided as well (barring some kind of massive win for Middlesbrough combined with a massive Derby loss). Only thing at stake then would be playoff seeding, where if West Brom knock off Derby and Leeds lose at relegated Ipswich, Leeds would drop to #4 and be matched up again with Aston Villa after yesterday's extremely interesting turn of events between the two sides. Guessing West Brom-Derby is the featured match given the mathematical possibilities and we also get Rotherham-Boro, where Boro could theoretically run up a score if they need to.
Yeah really odd in this division to have nothing or nothing much on the line the last day. The playoffs (in all divisions) are set to be very interesting though.
Also, ESPN doesn't have the specific matches listed for + this weekend but they do have two slots listed in WatchESPN right now http://www.espn.com/watch/schedule/?startDate=20190505&type=upcoming Sky Sports also has two (TBD) matches listed for the final afternoon. https://www.skysports.com/watch/tv-guide/05-05-2019
Sunday's deciders: Derby County v West Bromwich Albion 7:30 AM ET ESPN+ Aston Villa v Norwich City 7:30 AM ET ESPN+ Interesting that they went with the Norwich match over Boro or Bristol City. Sky picked one match, Derby. Maybe they'll do live updates/look-ins. League One on Saturday: Southend United v Sunderland 12:30 PM ET ESPN+
Guess they're going with Norwich since the Championship title is still up for grabs if they lose, although winning the title is a distant second to getting automatically promoted.

Even I, the QPR fan who loves our entertaining young team, think Sky and ESPN+ should be showing Preston-Leeds today.
All the League Cup Rd of 16 matches are on ESPN+. Fill yer boots https://www.espn.com/watch/schedule/?categoryId=119cfa41-71d4-39bf-a790-6273a52b0259&type=upcoming
For once I was pretty happy our match was on ESPN+. I was stuck in Charlotte airport but their free wifi had enough bandwidth for me to stream the game OK as a replay. But when oh when will they add 15-30 second rewind/fastforward buttons??
If anyone's wondering (and even slightly cares) Tues Feb 11 Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers 2:45 PM ESPN+ This is one of the midweek rounds where everyone in the UK and Ireland who has Sky can use the interactive red button to watch any of the Championship matches. But the main channel game is Swansea-QPR. So that's why ESPN+ have this (admittedly awful) match on instead of the much bigger Brentford-Leeds game. Maybe they'll make a late switch.
I hope they don't switch it for your sake. But yeah the Brentford-Leeds match is BIG. If Brentford wins, and ultimately were to get promoted the the EPL that would be practically unfathomable. Honestly my only lament would be that their 115 year old stadium would be left behind and they'd use their shiny new one for this next phase.
Huh? What are you dreading your chances against Swansea? Or are you just more of a fan of tasty match-ups than you are your own club?
