I called today and got a couple seats for the remaining games. The ticket taker said business was typical, not busier than usual.
CBus is a show me town. If this change would have happened in early June I would have guessed 16-18000 for the last two games, presuming an action style of play and some GOALS. The Buzz takes time to build...
And let's be honest folks: until the product on the field improves, we're not going to see a drastic change in attendance. In all honesty, some fans who I had run into over the season didn't even know who Greg was.. Those types are not going to care if GA was sacked. And "thank you" definately needs to be the main theme on the 20th.
Hell, it's been all over local news. ONN even had a taped segment in the afternoon today. I have a feeling there'll be a massive picture in the Dispatch tomorrow (MLB All-Star, Andrulis out, Tour de France, what else was there today??)
