I felt ten times worse when Graz left.

I felt five times worse when raghead stepped in a hole and then left.

I actually felt worse when Stone left, if you can believe it.

I don't think this feels right. It just doesn't seem wrong.

My time is better spent singing EJs praises.

Thanks Buzz. I was having a good day until you brought up that pic.

    Now I just can't see JK9 in a RSL uniform. I just can't.

Yeah, I can sympathise with these sentiments - and I've only known about him for one season. (I'm a late "MLS" bloomer - sue me!)

On the other hand, I have been given to understand that he really would have preferred to stay in Dallas. This, unfortunately, was not meant to be. He's smiling in the picture up above, but who's to say that is simply not him keeping "a stiff upper lip", as the Brits put it? Honestly, I look forward to reading on this board how FCD96 received RSL in ULHOWA (acronyms galore!), and a certain supporter's group gave the man an exceptionally enthuiastic standing ovation as he walked onto the pitch (yeah, I know ya'll stand anyway, but you get the idea I'm trying to convey here, I hope!) I wish I could actually be there when this happens, just so I could personally share in the admiration and respect we have for him!

I hope RSL treats him right, and I hope he does great things for them - in as limited a fashion as possible, of course! ;)

    Long live the King!

Let's play the story out...RSL is a new team made up of:

    1. Expansion Draft cast-offs
    2. Superdraft rookies
    3. Discoveries, international mish mash, etc's.
    4. Jason 'getting up there in age" Kreis

How good can he be? Certainly he'll be given the ball but without a solid supporting cast of teammates, I see a mess. Teams will shadow him, tackle him, harrasse him. After 8 games he may be beat to a pulp.

I don't look for a lot out of him in the first. Question is...will he last to see a year 2?

You won't be seeing any Dallas players in red and black so it would have been weird even had he stayed. It appears that FCD is using our own scorched earth policy towards the defunct Burn. If you ever worked for the Burn you job is in jeopardy especially if you were there a long time. How many front office people have been there since the new GM was hired? Just give a number because if you name them they might be goners.

What an odd picture. He looks like a combination of Rev. Bob with that odd grin and some East Asian cult leader with the banner behind him.

Let's not start underestimating the expansion teams just yet.

We don't know who RSL's allocations are going to be.

We don't know who their discovery players are going to be.

We don't know what other trades might be in the works.

With another year of health and some support, Jason could in fact score 10 next year. (BTW, I heard that Utah was looking at bringing in the grass cells like they used to use in the Meadowlands - so the plastic may not be a problem.... Very unconfirmed source of information, but there you have it.)

And keep in mind that a lot of these guys have faith in Ellinger, having played for him. If they play we together, that might make a difference.

Do both expansion teams have potential to be really bad? Yes. But they also have the potential to be really good - esp. Chivas. Ramirez and Palencia are not slouches. (those were the rumoured players, right?)

And throw this into the mix - the unknown. I know that played into Chicago's success in 1998.

There is a long way to go before Opening Day, 2005. A lot can happen.

As for the picture, I hate to see it. The music has died in Dallas.

But I also know it was time. Time to start a new tune - this time with the Grown Ass Man at the controls.

It is an odd sight. A sad sight.

But its true I was madder when Graziani left. Kreis leaving are the kinds of tough decisions that need to be made when a team doesn't make the MLS playoffs 2 years in a row.

But even IF this was a necessary move, FC Dallas has a little less "class" this week than it did last week.

I can think of at least a dozen who are still there from before GE started. Now, if you mean alumni of 96 - that's just three that I can think of....

I know what you mean. I remember just making a joke about Kevin Harter, (the old tattoed equipment guy), being considered by GE as a coaching candidate. Eerily, he was fired three days later after my post.
