Edu is benched in favor of Lee McCulloch, probably due to his mediocre play in the opening two SPL matches.

Rangers: McGregor, Whittaker, Weir, Bougherra, Papac, Weiss, McCulloch, Davis, Naismith, Miller, Beattie.
Subs: Alexander, Broadfoot, Edu, Jelavic, McMillan, Little, Hutton.

St Johnstone: Smith, Maybury, Rutkiewicz, Duberry, Grainger, Anderson, Davidson, Morris, Millar, Samuel, Haber.
Subs: Enckelman, Gartland, Caddis, Taylor, Dobie, Parkin, May.

Has Edu been poor? I had thought I read reports that he was just ok offensively while quite good defensively.

St. Johnstone strikes first. They lead 0-1 after 30 minutes.

I thought I read the same, weird. But I haven't personally seen any games though so no idea.

Well McCulloch was unavailable for the prior two matches. I'm hoping this doesn't suggest that Smith simply prefers McCulloch in the middle over Edu.

Edu was subbed in in the 83rd minute

That's 2-1 for Rangers by the way
