That would be just like Tony Pulis, bring in a bunch of MF's...and then ship off probably the most talented one in his squad...

Yeah, I know he's been injured/out of shape, but he's a heck of a player at his best and Jol was pretty successful with another midfield reclamation project last season.

Palacios could be a great fit for Fulham...another CM was the missing piece.

Fulham's communications director tweeted that he's not headed to Fulham.

Yeah, a league where he got the chance to transfer to an EPL club. There's a reason why no Premier league clubs were interested in Edu and he signed for Rangers. It's because he was playing in the MLS. Epl-SPL-Mls Kickball!

It's interesting, the football world, at least, seems to view the Gers starters as at least partly EPL quality:
    Davis - Southampton
    Edu - Stoke
    Naismith - Everton
    Ness - Stoke
    Whittaker - Norwich
    Jelavic - Everton

Wylde, Sone and a few others ended up in the Championship. It's too bad the Old Gers never got an extended series of games with EPL midtables to see how it would have played out.

(Edu is reported at 500 LBS btw, although it is offically "undisclosed")

Although it seems not to have hurt Cameron, Ream, Lichaj, etc.

The vast sweeping generalizations of SPL, MLS or all the other "looked down upon leagues" are always broad, usually uninformed and often wrong.

You've been itching to post this, haven't you? I stand by my contention that Rangers were a Championship quality side the past few years. Just because a few of the squad are in the PL now doesn't change that (and let's be honest, a number of those players are going to see little playing time).

And do you have a cite for the Edu fee (I'm betting you don't)? I've only seen $500k.

Funny, I would have guessed him at 175 lbs, tops.

He carries the weight very well.

Which players aren't going to see much playing time? Ness? Yes. Any others, no.

I agree. The new tradition for YA thread titles shall be a cathartic airing of grievances toward the posters and the team in the threads that have been left behind. Let it be so. Until tomorrow morning, when the mods wake up.

Itching? I've posted similar before. Rangers starters have always, in good percentage, gone to EPL.
"A few of the squad" is over half the starters, with a few more going to high end Champs team (it's like saying Holden is a champion's league player. Technically, yes.) You have your valuation, the paying football world has theirs. I think you can guess who I believe. You have been proved wrong about Edu at ever turn, so I don't expect you to stop being wrong.

As to Edu's valuation, the trend of your accuracy continues. Now how much do you want to bet? (I've got no personal interest in that number by the way, I was the one who posted it was reported he had a 300klbs escape clause.)
