...and pace is made up of agility, sprint speed and acceleration. They basically decreased everyones pace from what I can tell so I'm not really too bothered with it.
Time was people would get excited by a field player linked to an established mid table EPL squad. If it works out, one of the top 5 moves by a yank this year. Confirmation. Subject to medical / wp, I guess. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...ity-says-it-has-deal-with-maurice-edu?cc=5901
Yeah, this is a very nice move for Edu and while I'm afraid this will set him as a "big D" DM/CM that is not the worst thing in the world. It will be interesting to see if he can break into the squad. Hudd is still supposed to come as well. I agree - a big move.
JK called as reference. The Mexico backline move helped. http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.u...lestone-deal/story-16766534-detail/story.html
An excellent value move for Stoke City. Say what you will, Edu has won trophies, competed in the CL, played tough minutes against the ManU's and Vallencia's of the world. Not to mention solid international. He'll have to improve distribution and awareness, but thankfully with Stoke no one will notice!
I've read that the Huddlestone transfer fell through (is falling through) because of trouble with his physical.
Surprisingly, I think an appeal would actually have been needed, as Edu is 1 cap short of 75% - 5 of 8. That being said, it was surely a formality as his international career vastly surpasses the recent borderline cases of Findley, Ream, Cameron and Rogers.
Could be - it was qouted someplace today - BBC gossip or someplace - that Stoke was going to try to revive, but it could be an old ref. edit: it was BBC gossip quoting an article from the Sun dated yesterday fwiw: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag.../Tony-Pulis-in-fresh-Tom-Huddlestone-bid.html
I always love when club managers are quoted as saying they spoke with the National Team boss, and the player came recommended. Its like asking the waitress in the restaurant if the food is any good Looks like Maurice really made the right move: Ipswich got crushed today 6-0 Jewell was/is such a tool for mentioning he was in discussion with a Rangers player.
This is a really good move, not sure how anyone can complain about this for Mo considering what I think is fairly average ability and performances in midfield the last couple years.
What? No I wasnt. Lol Ive been wanting him to make a move to a stronger league & club so he'll push himself to be better. Also when the Stoke rumors surfaced, I pretty much called it & said he's probably alot more likely to sign for them than Ipswich. Ive also said that I believed Edu wanted to stay within the UK.
You did post that because he was not so important to the nats you were ok with him taking a chance at a bigger league, but you also posted this - "I dont think Edu in EPL this season will be very likely." in fairly plan language. Not a big deal. There were a number of BS posters who for some reason underestimated the perceived value of the Gers offloads.
Ok. you maybe right (idk when that was or what context) but I didnt say that because I undervalue him. If I said that I think it had a lot more to do with there not being alot of talk around the EPL. Stoke came out of no where tbf. QPR was the only other EPL interest we had heard in the past & that was roughly a year or so ago.
No biggie - it's an old argument. I hope he can help Stoke. They seem to have a few middies, esp if Hud comes, but we'll see.
