Alvarez played 60 minutes before coming off and did well other than the YC he picked up. Sanchez came in to play the whole second half and did very well. The clip of his assist was posted just above. He made a great run, and slotted the ball to Kudus for a tip in.

That pass that Edson made to Sanchez was

  3. He blocked two shots on target, that could have put Heerenveen equal again and had a great tackle to prevent a dangerous situation in the first half.

Thought the yellow was a smart move. No point in risking anything so close to the half.

Sanchez's assist video seems to have been taken down.

Ajax will have full highlights on its YouTube channel and the assist will certainly be there!!!

Regarding his improvement, Alvarez put in extra time after practice last year working with the coaching staff on improving his ball handling and passing. This really helped to make him a much better player than a lot of Ajax supporters thought possible. This was likely the best transfer move he could have made as it moved him out of his comfort zone being in a country with a much different language and customs. I'm glad Ajax refused the Chelsea offer. He will likely leave the team next summer for a very nice offer and should succeed where ever he goes!!!!

Machin looking good, Jorge Sanchez got a good 25 minutes of playing time having to cover Lucho on the right.

Blind missed a clear chance that would’ve gave Ajax the lead.

To be fair to Sanchez, that guy Kvara is going to be damn good and wouldn't be surprised if he gets snatched up by a BIG team soon. He stuck with him a couple of times but the guy has size, speed, and good technical ability. I'd say for just coming back from injury and only having a few minutes back he did about as good as you could expect. All the gols didn't come from his side and they didn't score 6, so maybe a win there?
