    van de Beek was injured in practice yesterday and will miss the return match with APOEL. I don't know what ten Hag will do with the lineup but I would start Alvarez with Blind in the deep double pivot and move Marin up to #10. Match is on Wednesday. Ajax are off this weekend, given extra prep time by the Dutch FA.

    Wednesday's CL Playoff against APOEL will be broadcast by TNT in the US. Hope that Alvarez gets a start in the MF for this one. they need his defense to keep a clean sheet and move forward to the group stage.

    This line up that was on a site can go into the dust bin as Donny vd Beek is injured:

    Time to replace him with Edson......?:unsure:

    According to AD Sportworld, Alvarez gets the start in the MF partnering Blind as the holding MF!!! American RB, Serginho Dest is said to be a starter as well.
