Alvarez was the best player for Ajax today. Really strong on defense all game and saved the point for Ajax.

Other than one lazy pass early in the first half, Alvarez had a very strong game. His passing was spot on and the goal was the icing on the cake. I think he was the most improved player on the Ajax roster this year.

MOTM for me as a lot of the Ajax players were sleepwalking. He got more passes in the MF than I've ever seen before and his passing was spot on. Had another late header that went off the bar. Spent the final part of the game as CB replacing Rensch who was awful.

Should he stay or is it the right moment to go? I think he should stay one more season.

I think he needs to stay as well and improve the speed of his passing. He made so much progress this year. I think he enjoys playing for Ajax after the family situation was fixed. Ajax are in he CL group stage next season and it's possible that they might be a number on seed. What I don't know is how many of the core players will remain.

  11. According to Voetbal International Alvarez only won less head duals than Haller in the Eredivisie and it's called a key feature for Ajax this season.
