    Alvarez, Mazraoui and Gravenberch were the three best players for Ajax last night. It's a real shame that they called a mysterious foul on Alvarez that led to the match winner. I honestly could not see anything but a light touch on the Benfica player. These calls get made sometime and Ajax just did not do enough to defend the free kick.

    I really messed up schedule, I went to Rotterdam yesterday and today for work, should have went Tuesday and try to get a ticket. Though they lost. I need to look closer at mid week schedules when I travel

    The Ajax MF was awful in the 60 minutes Alvarez was not on the pitch.

    His passing today was excellent. The only mistake was on the goal by Sparta but that was really Obama's fault. I think Alvarez was surprised that the ball came to him.

    I was posting from my phone. I saw that it was Obama the first time and then retyped it with Onana. I guess the Android spirit didn't like it that time either!!! Anyway, it could have been Obama's fault, he gets blamed for a lot of stuff.:eek:

    I don't know why he has not started the last two matches. He did miss training on Friday and may be carrying a small injury. Big matches coming up with a Sunday, Wednesday, Sunday set of games that will decide the title. AZ next Sunday away which will be a real challenge!

    Ajax really will need his defensive quality in the midfield against AZ. If they let Clasie do his thing, it can get nasty quick.
