    Re: ecuatorianos!

NEC of Holland just won their first game, 2-0. This is the team with Ecuadorian, Jose Luis Valencia. He had a solid game and played the entire 90 minutes.

De la Cruz came on in the 75th min. for aston villa's 2-0 win over southampton. He was expected to start, but didn't.. hopefully next week he will.

Speakin of the English Premiereship, Kaviedes will be offically presented a member of Crystal Palace this week and he can make his debut on English soil when the "Eagles" host Everton.
Fellow Ecuadorian, "Chuchillo" Fernandez can also make his debut.

Ivan Hurtado, the capatin of the national team, and Pachuca earned a 2-0 victory. "Bambam" played the entire 90 minutes and had a strong game.

Mendez and Delgado will play for their respective clubs, Santos(MEX) and Pumas!

    Good luck all you guys!!

yeah, angel is still with them, but i think he has an injury, or was suspended, i am not sure.
but notice how aston villa started winning when de la cruz was starting in place of deleany. ofcourse, a full back won't get as much glory and attention as the star striker, but i see de la cruz play and he set up alot of fancy crosses for angel and others. he is da man at villa for sure!

    "El Nine" Jaime Ivan Kaviedes

    This from tonight's Evening Standard By Leo Spall;
    17 August 2004

Crystal Palace today expect to complete the signing of a playmaker who manager Iain Dowie says is a 'god' in his homeland.

Ecuador international Ivan Kaviedes is set to join on a one-year loan, with an option for a permanent deal and could play in the reserves at Ipswich tonight.

The former Celta Vigo star, 26, is moving from South American side Barcelona de Guayaquil after impressing on a three-week trial.

Dowie said: "The deal has been close for a while and hopefully we will get it over the line today.

"He is a god in Ecuador and is a top class player. Him and Ulises de la Cruz are the two icons of Ecuadorian football.

"He has great ability and is an outstanding finisher. We need that bit of guile and class. He'll be a big signing for us."

Yes, Kaviedes, will be joining Crystal Palace!
Angel Fernandez may soon follow, but I am just glad Kaviedes, now mature and with a good head on his shoulders, will show is world class abilities to the world!

    that is ffrom www.cre.com.ec

I am surprised about this move, but good luck in UAE Ebelio!

good luck carlos!! kick ass with carlos tenorio!!

    Re: Ecuatorianos en el Exterior[r]

it's no exaggeration. he is the most admired player in ecuador these days. and i have no doubt in my mind he is the most talented ecuadorian footballer, and one of the most talented in the world. no one can argue that. his only problem he had before was his mentality but now he has matured and his play on the field as of late shows. he is also has leadership qualities, and it's hard for me to compare him to someone. but he is comfortable playing in the attacking midfield role, as he has amazing passing and vision. also, he is a great striker with deadly finishing. when he is on, he can score and help others score too. he can do corners, and he is a free kick specialist and is excellent at penalties.
bottom line, he is full of talent!!

    Re: Ecuatorianos en el Exterior[r]

i watched his games by the way. i think he played very well. he attacked, tried to win balls, split defences, and made some excellent touches. he will need more time to adjust, but even so, he is doing well and he will only get better. but i hope crystal palace can sign some more stars.

    Re: Ecuatorianos en el Exterior[r]

I agree Kaviedes is a player with a lot of talent, but he has been given a lot of opportunities to show he can play in Europe and he hasn't been able to impress. I think the bottom line is that he doesn't have the physical strength to play in Euroope, especially in England. He is a south american through and through, he has a great vision of the field, good footskills and good creativity but I doubt he'll ever be able to make an impact in Europe. Not enough umph.
