I was JUST about to post this... That's been Brazil, Paraguay and other teams strategies against us this whole Qualifiers... they defend 1st half and have us tire ourselves out and use their energy when we're tired...IMO our altitude this whole qualifier has been to the benefit of the opposing teams (those who know how to counter it correctly and have it backfire on us---Brazil and Paraguay are the prominent examples) I don't want to point fingers and insult any players for their performances int he 1st half but...Benitez has missed 3 shots, 1 which could have been netted EASILY, REALLY EASILY...Caicedo has had 2 good players, but his passing is just inacurrate for the most part, he must be subbed out for Montero...everyone else is having a good game. But again, we must be careful of Uruguay, THEY WILL want to use that storing energy for the 2nd half so don't be surprised if Uruguay plays harder this half and ATTACKS instead of defending... Finally, WE MUST STOP attacking through the middle....NOT gonna work. AYOVI (and Montero coming in) SHOULD be the answer to attacking from the sides and having more opportunities to score....as long as Benitez can net them. Great job by Noboa and Castillo so far....and if Caicedo plays this 2nd half then Vizuete needs to move him up and move Benitez back (currently we're doing the opposite).
