Reinaldo Rueda da lista de convocados para amistoso contra Honduras Quito (CRE).- El técnico Reinaldo Rueda, dio a conocer los nombres de los jugadores convocados a la selección nacional de fútbol, para ser parte del amistoso contra Honduras, que se jugará el 9 de febrero a las 19H00 local. Los jugadores que militan en los clubes nacionales, tendrán que presentarse el día domingo 6 de febrero a las 14:00 en la denominada Casa de la Selección, en Quito, mientras que los jugadores que militan en el extranjero, se unirán al grupo en Honduras el lunes 7. La selección, tendrá entrenamientos el lunes, a las 19H00 hora local, en el estadio La Ceiba, lugar donde también se realizará el encuentro, y se tiene planificada la misma rutina para el siguiente día. I think that Felipe Caicedo or even that paquete Cristian Suarez should replace Benitez to see how they do in this game. I'm a bit shocked and let down that Felipe Caicedo and Guerron didn't make this list as well as Eduardo Morante. It kind of makes me think he if will ever call them up.

Caicedo should replace Benitez, seeing as how he should have been called up in the first place. Morante didn't get called up because he's still battling the same injury from last season, he wont play this weekend with Emelec and they said he's gonna miss like 10 days or so.
Oswaldo Minda instead of Quiroz due to an injury. Pretty much Deportivo Quito vs Honduras. Can't believe Rueda believes Minda to be better than Hidalgo. And Palacios gets called up but we still don't get to see Caicedo get another chance in the national team even though he's on break at Levante due to suspension. Can't understand Rueda (or should I say the FEF) on this one.
Is Ecuador gonna play with their usual Ecuador NT jerseys or are they gonna play with the Deportivo Quito uniform. Hope its that awful color that they played with in Argentina.

Why do we have such a crappy lineup? All those players suck a$$. I bet the U20 team would beat this sorry line up.Plus most of the players are from the sorry team D. Quito who just got kicked out of sudamericana. They suck. Good thing we are playing Honduras because any average-good team would kill this squad Ecuador called up. Ugh I don't even feel like watchig this game. It wouldn't even surprise me if we didn't win this game. If things keep going like this we aren't going to go anywhere in any tournament and I bet we don't make it to the WC again. I rather see U20 team.
its true that we dont have some of our best players, Valencia is injured and Montero stayed in Spain to acclimate to his new team, which was a good idea. Some guys are injured that I would have wanted to see, Morante and even Banguera come to mind. Some of the Deportivo Quito players shouldnt have been called up, Minda and Saritama who IMO sucks. Cuchara Caicedo whose now in LDU as well.

Deportivo Quito as a team sucks. Some of the players they called up don't. Segundo Castillo, Luis Fernando Saritama (Who IMO has done well in the last two friendlies, im sure some of you agree), MJ Quinonez, Jairo Campos, Isaac Mina, Marcelo Elizaga, and Juan Carlos Paredes are all good players that deserve to fight for a spot in the NT. Now as an institution LMAO they're sorry. Oh yeah, hey guys did you hear they're in debt again now? Not a surprise happens every year. A few weeks from now their players are gonna be absent from practices due to late payments.
