Watching the draw. It’s taking forever. They started talking about vaccines. They’re really dragging this out.
So our first game is against Venezuela. Then we play Jamaica. Our last game is against Mexico. All opponents are beatable. We have to finish in 1st place. A 2nd place finish would put us up against Argentina.
FUERTES DECLARACIONES: Embajador de Estados Unidos apunta a lavado de dinero en el fútbol de Ecuador (VIDEO) https://www.futbolecuador.com/site/...vado-de-dinero-en-el-futbol-de-ecuador/160942 Considering the current state of the country- this is not surprising. And on that end, the mirroring of Colombia in the 80s and early 90s is complete.
can we please buy the copa America? Haha in all seriousness, we are constantly in scandals… all the way back to chiriboga.
If it wasn't backroom dealing and skimming money off the books, it's now just straight up dark money. When the US Ambassador made those statements, my immediate thought was "WOW, no way...REALLY?! You don't say...."
I really hope this is where he uses his experience from Qatar so that we manage to have a good CA. But I really can't help but feel that we will some how bottle this group. We never do well when we are favorites or expected to do well.
Bayern and Dortmund will battle to the end...theoretically, it should be tight. There's now lots of pressure for them to deliver, but it seems like they are consistent and even winning narrowly in nervy matches. Sadly Piero isn't getting consistent minutes. Word is he'll leave during the January transfer window.
Really? I would argue he was recovering from Injury, but since Nov 9 Bayer has played 6 games. Started and played almost full game: 4 The most recent 2 games: Bench all game: 1 (vs. Dortmund) Started but subbed: 1 (played 1st half) Either way, where would you think he ends up? On another note, I see Pacho playing as a left back in Germany, I thought he was a CB
Yeah that's been the club that's been picking up the most chatter with expressed interest. It doesn't look like he's in the starting XI for today's game vs. Stuttgart either.
Agreed - the only thing I can assume is that they are prepping to offload him in Jan and need his "replacements" to start gelling with the current squad.
True, but I’m not sure it’s the job of an ambassador to hold conferences and air dirty laundry in the country you’re based out of,not to say that it’s not true,it may or not be,but you would never see an Ecuadorean ambassador or any other country hold press conferences like we allow this gentleman to do.just something to think about and why no one ever respects Ecuador on the international level.
The situation usually becomes quite untenable for things like this to happen. It's out of character for most foreign service officers to do this, but it's an effective way of putting added pressure on the government to be reactive in meaningful ways- nobody likes to get called out like that. The conference was also part of a UN conference on judicial and governance issues for governments, so it would make sense he made comments in that capacity. Remember that both the Moreno and Lasso regimes were basically constitutionally hampered from doing anything substantive, and many times it was the judicial branch undermining any work that could get achieved. Several criminals (crime bosses) were let go and later went off-grid...all with judicial blessing. The rot is deep in Ecuador, so an outside actor can stir the hornets nest better than someone local.
Ecuador is pretty damn dangerous right now. My mom had to go there for an emergency there during thanksgiving.
Anyways, I know this is not the bsc thread but this arrived today from bsc store. I never saw him play but I love this style of retro shirts. Also his wife was my teacher during middle school.
