Minda having a good game so far. He’s been overshadowed by Ángulo in the last 1-2 seasons.

You can’t foul a player like that inside the box. What a boneheaded play by Plata. That’s the type of mistake that will get you eliminated in the World Cup.

    Good game

I love that we saw a high press when the team had all the starters. I think Pervis has been relegated to 2nd option (albeit he'll start vs holland)

1-1 is fair - and I wish we didnt argue so much about that penalty rebound, it wouldve pushed us for the second goal instead of protecting the 1-0

One thing is certain (IMO) - Kendry is no where near the level needed for a WC. Wouldve like to see Sarmiento instead

this is good, we needed a game like this. we should've won against the mighty "afcon champions". but this gives me hope and a little bit of some weight is off our shoulders going into the first game now.

Really happy with what I saw yesterday.

We didn't just clear the ball but played out of pressure and were able to create several counters with quick passes.

For once it felt like Ecuador had fluid movement upfront and it really made Morocco suffer.

    Wonderful news.

That IDV machine keeps churning them out! Sadly, the rest of the Ecuadorian clubs just try to figure out how to keep the lights on, and the canteras can barely ship kids off. For every 1 Liga or BSC can negotiate, IDV does 5x the volume (ANNUAL). Crazy stuff. Good luck to el joven Martinez.

That camada is loaded with talent. Another player that’s promising is Nixon Ayovi.

should've made these attacking subs earlier, good to see Anthony Valencia make his debut.

It was a solid outing, but I wish that Jordy and Arévalo came in earlier. They looked pretty dangerous, but in 5 minutes, nobody is able to see any material effect.

agreed re: Valencia. He’s green, but did pretty well.

I liked that we kept pushing even though we were down early today.

The movement upfront was pretty fluid. Good passing, good dummies, and crossing.

Too bad Holland decided to pull a Mourinho and park the bus against us.

We played well both games. But that’s my worry, we played well and can’t score more than 1 goal, on top of that we conceded both times! Lol usually our solid defense can hold the 0

anyway, 2 more friendlys left. 17 games unbeaten, Yeboah and Plata looked good today. Removing the OG Pacho looked awesome, Caicedo looks so much better with us than Chelsea.

But The top can’t just be tio Enner scoring.

    Absolutely.

Though I am also left coming to a similar conclusion- despite many positives that can be pulled from the match, what totally separates the best from the rest is the killer instinct. This is where we have to find ways to win. Parking the bus against us? We have to break it. Down by 1 or 2 goals vs a full 11 lineup, we have to find a way to claw back. When conceding silly goals- it has to get fixed. If we're up, we have to keep pressing and pushing to score. This is crucial. The guys can show signs of all of the above, but it needs to be seen, felt, and imagined consistently. This is how tournament confidence builds.

Vs 2 top-10 FIFA ranked squads, we held our own, and we didn't lose either game. When the stakes are higher in the big dance, can we do it again?

Rodriguez and Moises Ramirez out of the world cup for going clubbing before the Holland match.

If this is true we finally get rid of Ramirez and can develop Loor.

They’re saying the punishment was a fine and not being on the squad for yesterday’s game.
