He still has youth on his side. Some GKs are late bloomers. I think a change of scenery can be good for him. He should earn his way back to the NT though. A player to keep an eye on now is Eduardo Bores. I think he's eligible to play for Ecuador.

Honestly- I don't get it. So we get a title sponsor for the tournament and what else? Are there any red flags that come to mind about a betting house being the lead sponsor for the country's top-flight futbol league? A few come to mind, lol.

Seems like our #1 and #2 are locks for the foreseeable future, but aiming to keep nurturing younger GKs will be a huge benefit for depth and quality.

I don't know much about Bores, but I trust your judgement. Venezuelan born and Ecuadorian nationalized?

Miguel Bravo called him up to a U23 microciclo a few years ago. His father actually played and coached in Ecuador. Let's see how he does with IDV but if he plays well then he should be in the running to be the #3 GK. Unfortunately there's not that many young promising GKs that are in the pipeline.

There has to be more regulation when it comes to this.

I still have trouble following his family history since they all have the same name. His Grandpa is Argentinean Eduardo Bores Duhle and his Grandma is Uruguayan. His dad Eduardo Bores Jatton was Born in Ecuador both of them played in multiple clubs in Guayaquil 9 de Octubre, BSC, CSE. Hard to find more info on that but it seems like they had a good amount of success there. The grandpa was the GK coach for the national team in the 70s. The dad was was the first Ecuadorian GK to play aboard and coach aboard as well. He coached the Special National teams of Venezuela which is why Eduardo Bores Jr was Born there.

He is definitely one of the promising gk of the league right now. Moving to IDV will immediately put him on the NT. The only other new GK I would have named would have been Cristian Tapia from Mushuc Runa but unfortunately he got benched by that Uruguayan Gk they bought in at the start of the season. And he has been exceptional for them. So he will have a tough time to re appear unless he changes teams.

Moises Ramirez is said to be playing in IDV Juniors for now. He definitely needs to move.

Beccacece only believes in depth at GK, Defense, and Midfield...who needs good #9s? lol

Apparently Ramirez' contract ends in December. It's unlikely that IDV will be able to get any considerable sum should they try to sell him. Their best play is to have him play with IDV Jrs until December because you never know with injuries he may be needed in an emergency.

A lot of people will cancel their plans. There’s websites out there that stream the games and people will find them. Then Loor will complain about la piratería. Loor and Egas…commenting their legacies as the worst things to happen to Ecuadorian football.

$23?! A lot of people won’t be able to afford that.

Agreed- isn't Ecuador's monthly minimum salary STILL under $500 monthly? Between those who make that amount + the unemployed population, $23 monthly for subscription Cable TV seems high. They made a promise at the start of the season to stream ALL games in that basic package but switching up midway through a season seems like such a gross abuse of the consumer's wallet.

You're right- this is what promotes rampant piracy. If they want to change up the packages and terms, it would be reasonable to wait until the end of the year where smart comms strategies and transparency to the changes would allow people to make reasoned decisions.

From what I heard, the signal to yesterday's game was also interrupted due to streaming outages or some other kind of technical glitch. WOOOOW.

Imagine that- even after some people might've begrudgingly upgraded their plans.

Loor and LigaPro + Zapping look like absolute clowns.

You could not have scripted a more glorious fall from grace.

-Horrible comms (last minute and pressured)
-PR and damage control (nonexistant and both Zapping+Loor go on the defensive)
-Transmission issues during the matchday (divine intervention)
-Unified outcry from fans all over the country
    -Talks of legal intervention
    -Piracy boomed

Are we looking at the system's literal implosion and a forced restructuring in the not so distant future?

Plata had a good game. Hope he can keep this level.

In other news it does seem Pervis is heading to Manchester. Bad choice imo but he might help them become a good team again.

I went last night to Boca-Bayern at the Hard Rock.

Man, those Boca fans bring the energy and passion regardless of the outcome. Hell of a match. I hope Ecua fans take note of how the Argentinos and Brazilians show up at these games. Part of why there's more steady cash flow in those leagues (beyond the high transfer fees) is the recurring revenue generated by ticket sales and sponsorships coming from those high attendance rates. So so so important.

Agreed. Piero has demonstrated great professionalism and can thrive at Chelsea- defenders stick around for a while there when they are top performers, and are fan favorites.

Plata getting a shot at a top tier Italian club is the type of vindication story that writes itself. They are highly disciplined there and he'll be on a short leash, which bodes well for his development and hopefully it keeps him focused on what matters: constant improvement and maintaining a competitive spirit. Milan doesn't put up with nonsense.

Milan just sold Theo Hernandez who was our premier LB for years after locker room issues and performance last year. They really will make sure he performs or he's out.

The Italian defenses will also help him improve his off the ball movement.

Nothing to say about Piero. We know he's an amazing player and will succeed anywhere he goes.

A great way to build a pipeline for talent to later represent. The model is simple, logical, and very replicable.

Sadly, it is also rife with ways to abuse the kids and create very awkward business relationships. I sincerely hope the kids (and families) who opt this route, for this or any other agent, will seriously read the contracts and have lawyers review any/all documents before putting pen to paper.
