Futbol Libre has been decent for me. Been able to watch Liga Pro games. I also watched a few of the matches for the Eliminatorias.

Happy holidays fellas. I hope this end of year is going great for all of you and that 2025 holds even better fortunes.

To end of the year my final 2 months recap:

    - Caicedo has transcended into Antonio Valencia levels. I hope he continues to improve and never loses that dog in him. Because oh man, that kid is proving all his nay sayers wrong. I have definitely been harsh on him with all his drama when moving out of brighton (first the Arsenal fiasco, and then the novela that Chelsea and Liverpool created).

    - Piero Hincapie and Ordonez are destined for big things. Never thought we'd have the best defense in south america, again hoping they keep the tunnel vision on lock.

    - Pervis is getting back in form and believe it or not I think he's been the piece that's made this little end of year run possible. If he can get back to 2023 Pervis again, the skys the limit.

    - Rooting for Kendry to get out of his rut but not overly surprised. Would rather he hits this wall when still in ecuador than not.

    - Valencia is still... polarizing. Anyone that was old enough to watch Tin Delgado's entire career, was he also like this? He continues to show that his highest highs will demand he stay a starter on this team despite his lows being so steadfast. I think he rightfully becomes the new Tin for the generation of kids born in 2000+; hell, one can even begin to argue Tin was just an Enner light lol

    - Plata se esta poniendo las pilas

Thankful for this team bringing christmas early to the Country of Ecuador. God knows the people have needed it. Excited to watch them in 2025.

En cancha este equipo ah ganado 22 puntos! Sera que pueden tumbar el record de 31 en 2002?

2025 is gonna be an important year for FEF.

At the NT level we can secure qualification (we are 99.9% in) but more importantly finally work out the kinks in our game. We have Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina at home and Chile, Peru and Paraguay away. Imo I think we take more/equal point on road than at home.

At the youth level we have U17 and U20 qualifier's and world cups. I can’t stress enough the importance of performing well and making deep runs. It’s about consistency, no one player is bigger than the process. Do well as a group, bring each other strengths out and ship as many kids to Europe. I hope we can win youth WC. Last outing was a total disaster and proved that we have a long way to go in these tournaments

At the club level I don’t expect a lot, I personally don’t see any of these teams doing well, but as always I hope for deep runs.

It’s interesting to see that Paez will participate in the tournament.

    Atalanta apparently going for Ordonez.

Would be a brilliant move for him since it's a strong team in Serie A that comes without the stress of a big team.

It'll allow him to grow in peace.

Joe Armas signed with IDV Juniors. Great move for him. Would be nice to see Edison Mendez take over Imbabura

I didn’t think he’d play ever again. The media from Guayaquil have talked about him being an option for the NT. This is something we’ll have to hear about as long as he plays for BSC.

It seems like it. They are having some heavy rumors of big names.

    GK Rumors:
Washington Aguerre: This guy was linked to Boca Juniors. He a great GK and if he had a little more luck he would have been a GK that gets called to Uruguay NT.
Leodan Chalá: He gave David Cabeza a good competition.
Omar Carabalí: If he comes to Ecuador I know he will explode and get on the NT radar. He is at a good age and has a good amount of experience.

    DF Rumors:
Gastón Campi: Great Defender the only thing that worries me is his age and the fact that he is slow not sure how he will adapt to Ecuadorian football. I saw him against Palmeiras his level of play was excellent.
    Xavier Arreaga: NT CB

    MID Field:
Jhonny Quinonez: Before he left for Argentina he was the best volante mixto in the league
Michael Carcelen: If he stay disciplined he a beast. His season in Aucas was good.
Joaquín Valiente: This guy showed some real high level football in the first half of this season. He is explosive great ball control great crosser strong shots and knows how to use his space and cut inside. The bad his second half of the season was piss poor. It was expected he lead the team but he ended up getting benched by spare players and other youth players. BSC got him on loan with option to buy. He needs a change and it can be easy to recover him.

    FW:
    Felipe Caicedo
    Lucas Klimowiczs
Kevin Rodriguez ( I dont have much faith in this rumor but anything could happen)

I liked what I saw from Aguerre and Campi. Campi is good in the air and knows how to pass the ball. Just hope we get a fast CB as his partner.

I'm liking the options in midfield too. They are finally addressing the depth issue which has always screwed us over in local and international tournaments.

I'm hoping we make another 2017 Libertadores run but this time we learn from our mistakes.
