I think the next match will be against Paraguay in Quito. The one after that one will be against Bolivia in Guayaquil.

I’m watching the Orense-Universidad Católica game. Parrales deserves an opportunity with the NT. He just scored his 7th goal. He also assisted on a goal that was ruled offside. Puede jugar de espaldas.

You know how critical I am of Plata but I have to admit he had a good game.

Could have had 3 assists and had a good individual play that was close to a goal.

He needs to work on getting past players again tho. He overthinks it now.

I said we needed to beat Peru and be convincing. We are definitely not convincing, but I saw sparks, y Peru se cerro bien.

We don't cut in enough and attack the middle, everything seems to flow towards the wings and centers into nobody.

Alan Franco had the set of his life. Really solid games

Hincapie continues to show how comfortable he is attacking (had another brain fart in defense this weekend in Germany though)

Pacho is faster than he looks had a good header

Pervis is not ready to play 90 mins yet - hes miles from the player he was last year

No sarmiento and yeboah is definitely... interesting

Mercado was meh I like that he shot from outside the box (he didnt shy away under the pressure at least)
Kendry looked alright - I feel bad that people expect him to "save" this team

Preciado is a key feature in our attack - constantly on the end of crosses from Hincapie and Pervis (is this part of the gameplan? if not maybe it should be and there should be some drawn up scenarios; for example would love for him to send a hard low cross into the box during these situations)

Finally Enner did in fact save us lol I like that he's mad and felt smug after the game in press conference. Hope he keeps that energy.

Paraguay is going to close the gates, park the bus and the plane if they can. Expect a tougher team to crack than Peru with attackers that can hurt us. Alfaro knows this core team VERY well, he knows that Hincapie will gift him one or two, he knows Caicedo is prone to erratic tackles early in games, he understands the pressure on Enner and Becca, and that this team's overall morale is shaky (so a 1-0 from Paraguay will feel like being down 3-0).

Does Uruguay come to our Game missing a ton of starters because of the Copa America incident?

He had some nice showings, a 1, 2 that left his teammate right in front of goal and a nice regate in the box that turn into a quick shot but missed.

If we call him up, are we a better team? definitely yes. But i'm not going to push for it, would only be a matter of time until he does some stupid again. Albeit don't think he deserves a permanent ban like Arboleda (who already had piso 17) since Hincapie and Kendry went unscathed.

Preciado playing a perfect game with Sparta so far. They're winning 3-0.

Pacho and Ordonez starting for PSG and Club Brugge respectively next.

Champions League is back! Finally with a good handful of Ecuatorianos

Fanatiz has garbage customer service. Agent Diego sucks ass. Doesn’t understand a question at all.

He basically told me I have to pay for their front row package to watch Copa Libertadores plus their Serie A package.

We’ll he doesn’t understand that their website only offers either or, they don’t have an option for both unless you make another account, I guess?

    This is just bad bad

ouch I can’t keep dealing with all these different streaming services. You need like 3 different services to watch EPL, and 3 for Ecuador serie A, and then another for eliminatorias.

honestly paramount does it the best. All European games, Italy serie A, carabao cup, and even second division England. No nonsense about 2 dollars extra for this or that.

In other news, Caicedo played a tremendous game with Chelsea today. Seeing the Reddit fans and even the English media reevaluating their initial scoffs at his 115 m price tag. I just wish they would sub him out earlier to rest him, they were up 3-0 and he was getting tackled from behind and tossed around hard.

Hopefully Pervis shows out tomorrow. It'd be nice to see him rebounding and getting more confidence- we need him for the next WCQ matches.

As for Caicedo- what a game. He's been picking up his level, and he's finally getting out of the mental rut. He's showing his value and it's even making Jackson a stronger presence up front. All good signs for now.

It seems like Ramirez makes a mistake like this every week. Galindez and Dominguez are getting up there in age so the fact Ramirez keeps making costly mistakes is worrisome. One name I’ve seen being mentioned is David Cabezas. I haven’t watched El Nacional play all that much this season so I can’t comment on his form.

Really? Weird. They're usually all over this stuff. That was a pretty decent goal too, he's on a streak. I am really confused as to why he didnt have any minutes vs Peru. Shocking.

Hincapie scored a nice header to help his team come back and win. Pervis is getting back in the groove Brighton, Zambrano started with Hull City again, Pacho, Mercado and Chavez started in France and Portugal.

Alan Minda still seems injured, Ordoñez looks like he's having a rough week cause the deflection for the 1-0 vs Dortmund and now scored an own goal in the Belgium league game, Porozo still on the bench in Leganes

Apparently Michael was going to be called up to the U20 squad but he got injured and will be out for a few months.

Agh, I didnt see this. I thought it was a minor 1-2 week injury.

Yes this is true, some Ecua youtuber interviewed him and he confirmed that Michael did actually agree to join the U20 but he go injured right before it materialized.

Denil Castillo and Nilson Angulo's teams have action in Europa League today. Looks like Castillo has been getting a good chunk of minutes, even started their last game.

Denil played an ok game. No big mistakes and his team was holding a 1-0 when he got subbed.

Looks like Christian Ramirez and Nilson went head to head during the Anderlecht game. Ramirez fue titular and Nilson was subbed in early (around 40 mins). Going to see if I can watch that replay.
