Last I heard he didn’t want to come here because he doesn’t like the country.

Since emelec can’t sign anybody for a couple transfer windows I’m really interested in seeing what kind of young talents come up. Specially up front.

Jaime Ayovi is the only option at the moment. Castelli is injured. He may be done for the rest of the season.

Maybe he shouldn’t be the NT’s starting GK moving forward…

UC, IDV, and BSC all eliminated from international competition. What a shitshow.

Damn I was rooting for BSC for my fathers sake. And IDV just looked flat.

Two more Ecuadorian teams bite the dust, Universidad sigue, LDU should follow suit tomorrow.

These team presidents/owners want that libertadores money, yet they come up with some bizarre campeonato schedules that when it’s time to compete internationally they can’t due to lack of games.

I don’t think Brazil stopped during Copa and other leagues began their tournaments 2 weeks ago while ours is yet to start.

This end of season and mid season downtime has to stop.

    Yikes I misread the global.
Agreed, I know they are naturally more talented than the rest of the continent but they constantly year after year dominate these cups. We should try to emulate their schedules if possible

    Spot on with both points.

Much of this boils down to 2 big issues the league has faced for the past few years - budget and organization.

GOLTV really screwed up the ability of both LigaPro and the clubs to have a reliable operational flow, and it's been evident since the last Copa Ecuador was hosted...I think that was 2021? So we're looking at an almost 3 year gap by not.

Next is the actual organization- the LigaPro and FEF are really struggling to harmonize, and by now it's affecting the entire project. The back and forths in the press in past years has been so lame. It's all political wrangling.

IDV looked flat yesterday. Their attacks were predictable. They lacked ideas. They played without intensity. I think scheduling played a role in their elimination but the coach and players are to blame as well.

Belgium has been a good league for Ecuadorians. I hope he starts for them. Preciado is the starter but we need an adequate backup. Jose Hurtado has barely played the last few months. He and Realpe have to get out of RB Bragantino.

Btw, that zapping app only works for Ecuador. Their customer service agent said to me that they don’t have the rights to stream to other countries.

Bummer, I did like gol tv. Their channel was readily available in the US.

    Bro that's wild.

At least the scandal (or lack thereof?) didn't affect his performance on the pitch. That said - another bad look.

Now I will say this- having been to Prague once before, I can attest to how attractive the women are out there, but WOW...Angelo is wilding out and acting on impulses. This ain't the 80s anymore! lol.
