I think the old thread from Cris deserves its peaceful retirement. Let's continue to discuss the other teams in here further.

Well, Switzerland just beat Hungary 3-1, which sets up a big match for Wednesday.

Hungary now at risk to be at 0 points on match day #3. We have to put them to bed because Switzerland plays Scotland, who they will likely beat or draw.

I sincerely hope the combined forces of Italy, Croatia and Albania are enough to knock those fvcking Spaniards out of the tournament.

Apart from 20 minutes in the second half when they scored Hungary didn't look very good. They would have to score vs Germany so perhaps there wouldn't be a lot of bus parking.

Hungary will play Germany in the next match as if it were a final for them. Will we see, once again, the inevitable and always reliable 3nd match German slump???

Earliest in Euro history. Good for them.

Based on this match alone, I don't think Italy are gonna win their third Euro title this time.

I like the Spanish team with their new approach. Great talents, a joy to watch. What's not likeable about them?

Weghorst breaks the deadlock, felt it was just a matter of time until the Dutch pull ahead

Time and again and again it is proven that an average center forward is better than a technically skilled false-9…Weghorst’s goal proves that theory one more time

The Poles had a great 15-20 min and I have to believe if lewa was on, they would have scored. They has some really good chances. Still do.

The Poles were probably better at the midpoint of the second half, after withstanding quite a bit of pressure. Not sure why Zielinski came off. I thought their game plan was working to a large extent, so the subs made the difference.

Overall the Dutch were the better team, lacking a finisher until Weghorst came on. Poland looked pretty good though, their match v Austria will be decisive, with Lewandowski back they have a good chance.
