Florenzi is not a good player

 

I don’t understand the hype around Petagna, he’s like Luca Toni if Luca Toni wasn’t a prolific goal scorer, maybe it’s just the system?

 

He has a lot of skill and is strong as a bull. But he is also undisciplined hence why he was sent to Spal. He could empty a McDonald's in one sitting.

Kalishit had more goal scoring chances in 6 months than Schick had in his entire Roma career. Fonseca seems the perfect coach and play style for him, if Leipzig doesn’t take up their option Id much rather give him a chance than sell for less than 20 million.

Provided he didn’t get permanently mind********ed by Roma of course. His mental strength was always the biggest issue.

 

This debate about Florenzi leaving and him being mentioned in the same sentence as Francesco and Danielino is embaressing. Those two were roman yes, but they were "fuori classe"! Players that would be stars at any top club in the world. So of course there is an even bigger attachment because they are roman and played out their careers in Rome. Florenzi is nowhere near the players they were.

And to be honest, it seems like it's a bigger issue with North American Roma fans on Twitter than fans in Rome. Not once have a I seen a sign " Florenzi non si vende" at trigoria, even Zaniolo got one of those.

I appreciate that alessandro was a professional. He had a few good years followed by a few bad years. His time was up.

Good, I was expecting that. Our amortisation costs imploded in an attempt to make short term capital gains in the last few years, and it got to the point that doing the same this year would have meant destroying this team entirely.

They need to keep building on this core and keep them together for a while, this will eventually lead to lower amortisation costs due to renewals. Selling the players out on loan and contributing nothing to the team will also help a lot, even if it means some capital losses. This is the best year to reset our financial position.
