Eastern Conference Championship Torrent

i shut my computer down this morning (after having been on all night), i'll turn it back on when i get home tonite, probably about 6pm if people still need to leech either of the championship torrents....

 

If anyone needs a DVD copy of the final, I will trade for a full dvd or vhs copy of the Eastern Conf Final.

turned off last night cuz no one was leeching, turned back on this morning if anyone if interested. i'll continue thru wednesday if anyone still needs it...

 

Can anyone help me to figure out what's gone wrong? Downloaded the whole thing, then go to open the file - it uses Windows Media Player - and I get the audio but no video....grrrr! Any ideas? THX.

you probably need a codec.

Try going to Help>Updates (on the file menu)

If that doesn't work, goto microsoft.com and download Windows Media Player again...

what version of windows are you using?

 

You also shouldn't be restricted to Windows Media Player. I don't even use Windows (or a Mac) and it plays fine for me. The answer is almost certainly a missing codec, as suggested.

 

You need DiVX. www.divx.com Or XviD, an opensource alternative: http://www.xvid.org/

Ok Knave's codec fixer helped. But now I realize that my new computer does not come with software to burn CDs. Any thoughts on where to get that? Anything free???

But that file isn't going to fit on a CD. It's ginormous.

 

if its Windows XP. you shouldnt need any additional software. Just drag and drop...

the bigger file wont fit on a CD, but the CD size one will. I just opened up "CD Size" one to seed, but I dont see the link on the torrents page. hmmmm....

A torrent will only show up on the page if there is an active seed or leech. And the page only updates every 5 minutes, so it's probably just lagging a little behind.

 

The only two seeders would be you and somebody from Morgantown WV, who I assume is Eneste.

Oh, Mike - read the thread for info about bit torrents and how they work and what to do with them. Take it from me that the game is well worth the trouble.
