    Revs over DC 3-0
San Jose leading Columbus 2-1 (ESPN was reporting this as a "final", which it's not)
    LA over Chicago 2-1

Except for possibly a NE - DCU draw, this could be about as good a Saturday as we could have had.

    C-Bus 25 GP 35 pts 0 GD 39 goals
    Metro 25 GP 35 pts -1 GD 40 goals
    Chicago 26 GP 34 pts
    -------------
    Revs 26 GP 32 pts
    DCU 25 GP 26 pts

Metro magic points number for the playoffs is now 3, magic number for the division title if SJ wins is 7. Due to Chicago's loss, DC is not yet completely out but they need some major help.

Not sure where you heard 4-1 since it's 3-3 in overtime right now. With this win and Chicago's loss you've qualified. The Revs in bizare fashion actually control their own destiny. Wins over Dallas and you lot and they're in the playoffs. This is all due to the fact that Chicago and Columbus play each other each of the last two games.

    Golden Goal victory [R]

Screw nails an own goal in the 96th minute.

Earthquakes 4:3 Screw in Golden Goal

Things are looking good for the Metro. They need to take out DC on Thursday.

Actually, we need to help DC set a record for MLS: the only team to lose all away matches in a single season. Let's beat them Thursday night so they can celebrate in style, hmmm?

DC, time to step up, sieze your moment, and claim the MLS Dubious Distinction Award. I really wish we could come up with some hardware to hand Etch after the match! How about a KIng Size jar of Vaseline?

Oops sorry about that. I heard it was 3-1 then I was sure I heard that someone scored (internet radio) and it was SJ, then I got static and cut off.

My apologies. Oh well the important thing is the Screw and Fire lost, we have a game in hand on both and are only 1 goal behind in the tie breaker.

DCU - A bunch of losers

Unfortunately, that's not the case. DC managed a 2-2 tie at San Jose on August 17.
