Just curious if there is something of a classic or textbook part of the goal people like to kick it into to score or maybe easiest to kick it into. I know it's a loaded question, due to different GK tendencies, but I was just wondering.

A well placed shot in the far high corner is unstoppable in most cases. But the problem is getting the ball there :)

Depends on the keeper. I'm a keeper and I'm 6'3" so I can get the upper far post easier than the low far post.

Also, if the keeper is not covering the near post (as some don't - for some reason I could never comprehend), then the near post is the easiest.

    from baseballtips.com:

"Hit 'em where they ain't'' -- Rallying cry for batters through the decades since 1897, when Wee Willie Keeler hit .432. Asked how a man of his size could put together such an average, Keeler responded: "Simple. I keep my eyes clear and I hit 'em where they ain't.''

It's also quite possible that Wee Willie was a redneck.

The part that no one on the other team is ready to guard.

On PK's I always went for the side netting to the goalie's left while kicking with my right foot. It almost always worked. I was a hack back in my day, but I never once missed a PK in a game and eventhough I was not nearly the best player on my team I won the PK contest in practice two straight years (once making something like 55 straight). I went that direction because I could still hit the ball with enough power and I was very confident in my accuracy going that direction. The goalie knew where the ball was going. He simply couldn't get there in time.

I guess this is my way of saying that it depends not only on the keeper but the comfort zone of the person taking the shot as well.

    Dear Partitioner,

The particularism inquiries of mine, will be a goal for certain. The goal is the one Germany scored against Holland in The World Cup of 1990. The score was Germany Three and Holland Two. The placement was a direct free kick five yards out by corner of box. The shooter's instep strike curved around defense. It headed furthest toward post and closed upon corner of goal. The valiant keeper gartingly dove. The ball aerated the extension of arms and the crowd erupted.

I am reasoning this goal, because; it made me feel like a kid again. I hope we all remember the nice curved instep shot, which we all practiced as children. It was about the only shot I could do outside of toe for awhile. This image resembles profoundness of wieght, hence; any shot around twenty five yards out should be the easiest goal. If you are too close, you have the aroma of opponents and the sub-consciousness being inconsequentiality. One sport backing up my case is boxing. When the opponents are close, the more attacks are thwarted into sub-mission. Just like in soccer. Yes, penalty area goals' occurs without infraction but; the erroneous multiplicty are indecisively aggravating. The pudginess seeks gratification! The technique is off and coach's, team and/or owner's etc... notification is pending.

Underneath the crossbar, and between the posts.
