Mark Connolly forgot to mention how then-San Francisco 49ers defensive-coordinator George Seifert took the head coaching reigns after Bill Walsh's retirement following a Super Bowl win... and then proceeded to lead the Niners to yet another Super Bowl win that season. :D

    GO EARTHQUAKES!!!

Marc Connolly also picks the Quakes as the team to beat in his 2004 MLS preview:

    "Shake, rattle and roll"

    GO EARTHQUAKES!!!

My favorite part, just following Quakes being favored for MLS Cup 2004 (but I could've told you that...) is that, of the five games to watch, three are with SJ. And two of those'll be here at Spartan. I'm ready for another brilliant year.
