Geoff Davies was a key part of the 1977 Quakes team, little doubt about that. Last I knew (which was a few years ago), he was living in San Francisco. If I am not mistaken, he has attended some of the Quakes reunions over the years.
Two Seattle soccer legends. Best, who died in 2014, was the NASL Sounders first head coach, and then became the team's general manager. He led the team during the Sounders "Camelot" years in the mid-70's, when the Sounders became the darling of the Seattle sports scene and had a presence in the community not unlike what the Earthquakes were experiencing in the south bay at the same time.
