I flew Heathrow to Chi-town 2 weeks ago and did not show my passport at all in Heathrow. I was a bit surprised and even asked at the desk if there would be another check for US bound flights. The lady said there hasn’t been for a few years. when flying from Germany to US there is a whole special second check when going to the special USA bound gates. Not so in London.
It's a budget thing. They are effectively treating American, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and EU air passengers as domestic as they've had to implement costly post Brexit customs checks at ports and the Eurotunnel, and deal with the surge in illegal immigration.
You're also not playing Aston Villa today. I think usnroach is closest: this feels like it a Brummie (guess who just caught up on this season's Bake Off over the weekend ) who supports Villa grasping at straws to unsettle Villa's UCL opponents.
I'll support any covert intelligence gathering agencies that intentionally over-fill their french fry containers
In other news, Weah starts! today, up top, with Vlahovic out injured. Juventus @ Aston Vlla, CL Matchday 5.
Admirable appearance. Did about as well as I would expect at the 9 with so many players missing, maybe even slightly better.
Bumping this Thread. Weah was class today. He and Weston really have a nice connection and they play well together. It would be nice to see them start together in a few matches in the league. He's finally realizing his potential
Weah start as Juve host Venice. Yank on yank action as McKennie joins Weah to take down Busio. Folks, we’ve reached new highs here in Yanks Abroad land. There are just too many Yanks to keep track of these days. I have never done these start announcements and now I’m like on the sixth one. Y’all doin ok?
I was starting to do the rounds and got distracted by Fulham... Never made it away from the screen till the final whistle. Even missed 'veen's win! Maybe Caspar and Boston got jobs or something?! lol
Speaking of Fulham, it finished 2-2 against Liverpool. Providing the assists on both Fulham's goals? Antonee Robinson
Yeah. That's why I couldn't look away. He was so driven to get FFC the win. It was a really good game, but often looked like 11 on 11 despite Pool being down a man. They are just so good rn.
Weah came in at the 80' in today's cup match. He's credited with an "assist" on Juve's 4th goal, but the assist was a short pass to Nico Gonzalez well inside of Juve's half... Gonzalez then turned and made a 65+ yard run before chipping the keeper perfectly.
Gio's Law that states whenever Gio Reyna is healthy and playing, all other YAs will pick up injuries one by one until Gio gets injured again.
