He made 15 appearances as center forward for Lille in 20-21. 12 of the 15 were sub appearances. He had three starts at CF but never played 90 minutes. He scored goals in two of those starts. And this was the season of his comeback from hamstring hell. They won or got a draw in every single match he subbed on as a CF. Mostly they won, which means he was subbing on late to help hold a lead. Pretty harsh to criticize a 20-21 yo player for that season considering the injuries he was returning from.
I think he might have got his cleats caught a bit and in trying to get in front of the attacker, fell, but he is still a good enough athlete to still make the most of it. Otherwise, someone really needs to teach Tim how you make a sliding challenge/attempted block while emphasizing staying on your feet whenever possible.
But I was not criticizing him, I was complimenting him. I care much less for his club career than I do for what he does for the NT. I'm not a Lille fan.
