Some early observations from todays game:

-It sounds incredibly quiet at Invesco; save maybe a drum beat, which is pretty nice I suppose
-Hopefully, despite low crowd noise that there is a significant crowd today
-Stoner is back in the booth
    -Beckerman is playing today
    -A 4-5-1 formation?
-Metrostars are actually wearing their road kits

speaking of those road uniforms... despite all the hostility against white uniforms on the road (which I generally agree with), i think the metros white looks pretty sharp.

    what? those things are horrendous...

it looks like a bunch of nurses running around.

blech, they should have worn their homes, aka milan derby.

They should have. I suppose you'll have to look for that on FSW and MSG broadcasts. BTW, so far the games been pretty uneventful, but Colorado's at least looked decent. I really think that some of my lack of interest in these ESPN2 broadcasts is the lack of fan excitement (ESPN can't mic a crowd to save their life anyway.) Rob Stone is terrible at play-by-play.

That last Roberts shot off the top of the bar was exciting though. Too bad Stone, Keough, and the crowd stink.

Oh my. That's a soft goal Mr. Mathis scored. Nobody should give up that type of goal in MLS.

Maybe he's a great guy, but he's terrible at play-by-play. With him in the booth, it also means we have to listen to Ty's ramblings (which didn't happen when he did play-by-play last weekend.

BTW, where have you been for the last few years? That MLS show on ESPN went off the air somthing like two years ago. The only MLS wrap is on FSW, hosted by Sean Wheelock and John Harkes.

All on the Fraser there, you cant let a shot come through your body there. In fact, he gave Mathis entirely too much space. Colorado's problem is not its offense, but its defense that gives up soft goals and forces them to chase the game.

Don't no if it's me but I keep waiting for a good smoth game every week but still poor games.

I think MLS has lost a bit of passing and posetion. Long ball passing like in the past is not there. And a nother good player down for MLS ZIZI.
