I think this game isn't available in the US, which really sucks. And the game looks really sweet. I'm hoping to get it on Ebay, where it seems cheaper, although the prices are in pounds. http://www.easports.co.uk/products.view.asp?id=6728
You can only get the game on PC if you're in the USA. Obviously the PS2/XBOX versions wont be compatible with USA NTSC systems. secondly ,I have the game and its crap .dont bother .awful controls. I was hugely disappointed with it.
The only decent cricket game I ever played was "brian lara cricket" for the old playstation. A new Brian lara game is coming out at the end of the month.
i've downloaded the demo for EA Cricket 2005 and I suck because I do not know which buttons to push and they do not tell you the controls for the keyboard. Would happen to know where I can find the keyboard controls? I'm trying google right now
alrighty, i just found a pdf file that has the controls on them. i'm getting better, but still can't hit anything more than a single
well I played the demo this afternoon and finally figured out how to hit the bal to different parts of the pitch. At one point I hit 3 sixes in a row and finally beat the demo. I am going to have to find a place to buy this game without spending an arm and a leg. PC version of course
EBay isn't a bad place to go. Looking at the prices, and doing rudimentary conversions in my head (obviously, all the people selling are in the UK), the price comes out to around $40.
thats not bad. I'm in the process of aquiring the game in a hush hush sort of way. We'll see if I can figure out this process
game is freaking hard. i get too impatient all the time and try to hit sixes and get caught real close in during the limited over games. However, in the Test matches I can run up the score pretty well. But then again I usually play the US or Canada.
I've got it and I rate it as the best cricket game i've played because it's a challenge, batting is no longer just a slog fest and even the bowling is almost enjoyable with the hard to control 'bowling circle'.
You know I never understand how the scoring works in Cricket. How does it go? Also how is it determined when your side is bowling and when the other side gets to bowl? Please help me out here, I really would like to understand the game.
I have a copy of questionable legality that I got by way of Karachi. And I just murdered India. PAKISTAN ZINDABAD!
scoring: hit it outside of the rope on the fly (think home run) = 6 runs hit it outside of the rope, but hits the ground inside first and rolls over = 4 runs hit the ball and run to the other end = 1 run (if you do it twice you get 2, three times you get three) http://news.bbc.co.uk/sportacademy/bsp/hi/cricket/rules/scoring_guide/html/default.stm as for who gets to bat/bowl first, there is a coin toss and one of the captains calls it and if he wins the toss he gets to pick if he wants to bat first or bowl first
i get impatient. I'll put a nice little partnership together and then I get greedy and try to hit sixes and get caught in the slips or covers. In the limited over matches I go through almost my whole order and only score like 70 runs.
No need, just follow these simple instructions that will, in the end, accomplish the same thing as playing a cricket video game. 1. Buy a real cricket bat. 2. Hit yourself in the face with it. I kid.
When you get a wicket, it's basically like getting a guy out in baseball. If a bowler gets the wicket directly off the bowl, that would be like a strikeout. And when the defense gets the wicket, the batter is out.
If the offense hits a ground ball, it's their choice to run. If they do run, and the defense is able to break the wicket before the offense gets the batsman over the line, that's a wicket. And if they pop it up, where someone catches it, that counts for a wicket as well.
really. whats better about it? gameplay? graphics? do they have all the same teams and stadiums, etc.?
