Here is a map of the project (PDF file).

    :D

Big step in getting a stadium done. Now that we have a training facility to be put up just down the highway from Robertson Stadium (our current home), a stadium shouldn't be too far off in the future!

Im confused......from what I read this was about a whole bunch of fields for the youth leagues to play on. I didn't read anything about a training facility for the Dynamo. Did I miss something? Or are the 19 fields all gonna be used for the Dynamo with no weight room and all that?

That first post is inaccurate. Naranja just got a little ahead of himself. The City of Houston has agreed to buy this land and will be building a Youth Soccer complex there. The City is encouraging the Dynamo to also build their training complex there but no announcement to that part of the project has been made.

And it seems unlikely that any such announcement will be made until the Dynamo Stadium deal is worked out.

Futsal courts? Very nice. You guys are getting the idea of youth development.

Congratulations to that and the new facility!

Always the little brothers. Congratulations on beating us out for #2, I guess.

How many MLS teams have fantastic training facilities like this?

This is also the first time I've heard of futsal courts being built for an MLS side, too. Do any other teams have those as well?

    Most of them do.

I don't think so. They also don't have jai alai canchas either.
