Line-ups seem to have been a bit weird. Someone on the reddit who was there said Junqua was playing at centerback which is interesting.

They were missing three yesterday, Figueroa on international duty, Fuenmayor and Barlow injured (from what I gathered not serious for either).

Ah fair enough. I forgot that Figueroa and Lassiter are on international duty and didn't know about injuries.

Corona and Picault also didn’t play yesterday but no apparent reason was given

So your USL affiliate team, RGVFCT, have an interesting Honduran U-23 national in Juan Carlos Obregon.. what are the odds like for Dynamo to call up players over from that side to play for the First Team?

juan carlos obregon who scored a key goal for Honduras U23 yesterday, was at RGV.

i remain unconvinced we are accurately evaluating talent.

in answer to the poster's question, RGV is now a separate entity with whom we are merely affiliated, and we'd probably have to buy him. the mistake would have been not securing his services this offseason when RGV was spun off. he would now cost and without a real relationship it would be an auction against all others kicking the tires.

The Dynamo still hold rights on RGVFC players last I saw.

    https://www.rgvfc.com/news_article/show/1138274

Though that is confusing itself. My recollection of roster rules was there was a "dibs on affiliate players" like the discovery list, but that it was not a blanket team wide thing. More like we call dibs on these three/four players.

    you're right.

"Houston Dynamo FC will continue to hold the MLS affiliate rights to all players under contract with RGV FC; and both clubs will continue to have the ability to loan players to one another for individual games or for longer durations during the MLS and USL seasons. "

i assumed the loan part -- though i wonder if we have a number limit -- but apparently we can call up their players.

I'd probably take a flyer on Obregon if that's the case. He's a technical player with a very high work rate.. he measured up well to his MLS counterparts.

They finally posted a recap for the Louisville game:

So a total of 5-0 in 115 minutes.

The Dynamo preseason game this afternoon against Austin has been cancelled due to "illness" on the Austin team according to a source at BBVA Stadium. I'll add a link when it becomes official.
