I've always disliked this guy for his selfish, me-first, unprofessional attitude. He also sux, at least in the EPL at this moment.

I wonder how he'll fit in MLS. I'm sure Manhattan won't provide any temptations for the guy that he won't be able to resist.

He is also way past his prime.

I personally would love to see Dwight Yorke in the MLS. He may not be in past form, but Dwight Yorke would be a major asset to the MLS. I could see Dwight Yorke scoring between 12 and 20 goals in a season.

He may be a bit past his prime - but he woudl no doubt be a good signing for the Metros. Better than Juskowiak or whoever that was.

I have a saying: If he's good enough for Rovers, he's good enough for me. Or if he played in the EPL this season, he can play in MLS next season.

I mean, after Preki and 2003, can we really say he's too old for MLS?

I'm sure this announcement will be forthcoming from the Metros' front office in the next 60-90 days... :p

Just once, for the sake of variety, I'd love to read "Dwight Yorke to Chicago..." or something...

I'd rather not see another dinosaur over here. As the league continues to grow stronger, I see less need to have "retirees" in MLS. I'd rather see young, upcoming players from smaller leagues rather than yesterday's news.

McManaman was precisely what the Metros needed: a good wing midfielder. Yorke would be a waste. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to get a good striker, but as last season showed, when a team can't spread the field, having a good striker doesn't matter. Right now, the Metros can't spread the field. Our best wing mid is Vaca. While I hope he does well, I want something better than a converted central mid who couldn't start on the worst team in the league last season as my top wide midfielder. Taylor, Magee, Gaven, Wolyniec and Nugent will never be confused with the top strike team in MLS history, but they are decent enough to pick up wins. The Metros need to concentrate on wingmids.

He would be worse than Juskowiak, hands down. At least Juskowiak didn't come with a disruptive, prima donna attitude attached. I can think up plenty of players who play in the Premier League this season that I don't want on my team, and Yorke is one of them.

Anyway, it's a moot point because it was a totally **************** rumor with nothing to it.
