Still had a celebration hangover from the match in Sweden. Defense usually looks bad but today looked even worse than usual to me.
This team is always making some sort of dumb defensive error or has bad positioning on bad bounces. As for Duvan one observation from this match and the Seire A match on the weekend... ...he seems to be drifting out a lot to the left wing, And he is not playing that badly out there. Just something to think about if we have the multiple #9 situation ever again.
The second goal was awesome!! Unstoppable...sad that they are trying to force the return of ilicic that is like play with 10 players now...and muriel have been afected
Last season they played some of their best futbol with Papu---Duvan--Ilicic so I am not surprised that Gasperini would try it out again. I wonder if this means Muriel will start on the weekend with Mojica. That could work in our favor with more chemistry and practice time together.
He have like 7 months without activity...he is good in level but todah he is slow and doesnt contribute nothing...gasperini prefered him over duvan in important matches
Ilicic was not just good last season if you look at his per 90 numbers he was a poor man's Messi, goals, dribbles, chances created, fouls drawn the guy was one of the best in the world. I can see why they are rushing him back, but Muriel is better right now and Ilicic looked really rusty last game. Duvan is Duvan and when he's not scoring goals he's doing a great job of facilitating chances for his teammates and bringing others into play, the guy is going to age like a fine wine with his hold up play and how well he uses his body to dominate defenders.
