Game is on GolTV for those of you that have it. If anyone wants a not so legal stream, just PM me (though I'm only going to be home for the next hour)

dest seems more than capable of dealing iwth the physicality so far. had one nice combination move that other guy couldve done better with. if this were a different forum id say cap him now and start him at left back for the next 10 years

dest loves making lung bursting runs to get involved in the counter. a couple times he has ran himself into position to run onto passes in acres of space. results are weak shot and a decent cross so far, but left or right he seems the same. love to see it

dest is making runs calling for the ball in his ajax debut. he does not lack (deserved) confidence

Doing enough to be kept in the rotation, so far.

Otherwise, Youtube has the game live, in Dutch: mZLfOUuLT_E

Almost scored but shouldve crossed it for an assist, and rough min playing out of the back there

Keeper put him in a tough spot there with a man on.

I'd give him a 7.5. Very good defensively and solid offensively. Few mistakes but shit happens.

  15. Ajax a couple of years ago had Tete, defensively one of the best in the Netherlands. Peter Bosz dumped him. Why? Because he had almost zero contribution to the attacking game of Ajax. Same reason Payne lost his spot at FC Groningen. Dutch coaches donot like players that cannot contribute to the attack.
Thus I think Ronald Koeman was watching with interest this game from that perspective.

there were a few moments in the last few minutes and extra time when dest was still wanting to blast forward and his teamates were like trying to leisurely kill off a basically finished match. kid is always looking to attack

  17. Well, that's his youth. He still has to learn alot, like temporisation and deciding when is the right moment to attack. Now he charges up when he gets the chance, but he has to learn that the chance to go forward isnot the same as the right time to. He just has to look at what Gio van Bronckhorst did at Barcelona that made his team mates call him the best back in the world.
