I'm sure everyone will be looking out for them in Brazil 2014 when they play them and trying to make sure they leave the pitch without being killed or maimed. Without question the most disgraceful display of thuggery in World Cup history. Heroes??????

Modern history maybe but don't forget Chile Italy in 1962, Portugal on Pele in 1966, Schumacher in 1982, The battle of Berne in 1954, The world cup final in 1990. Maybe they won't even qualify in 2014. They did not in 1982 after being runners up and not in 2002 either when they had been 4th. We can but hope.

Agreed. Everything crossed for a Dutch demise in qualifying before they blight 2014 in the same way they ruined the 2010 final.

Indeed, second place is a great achievement, and the Dutch team deserves their welcome! I recall England also had a heroes' welcome when they finished fourth in 1990...
