Big deal. This happens every time anything happens to a moderately attractive blonde. It'll all go away in a few months. But yeah, if the girl had been completely fugly or black/hispanic, millions of Americans wouldn't have the slightest idea that Aruba exists. So people might come away with the impression that Aruba isn't safe because of this "man bites dog" story, but even more people now recognize it as a tourist destination. I'd say it's a net gain for Aruba. You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have the facts of life, the facts of life.
btw I saw a picture of the girl and have some trouble understanding the talk about a 'hot' girl. Or did they mean the high temperatures on Aruba?
Well, she's white, blonde and not overweight. The white skin alone would only have gotten her 30 minutes. The key is to be blonde and younger than 24.
If this girl was black and overweight it wouldn't have even made the 6 O'Clock local news in her hometown, that's what sad about this country and this story.
I don't think being blonde has much to do with it, but being an attractive white female certainly does.
Aruba - lowest yearly average temperature - 76F highest yearly average temperature - 89F yeah, that beats Amsterdam in February. Cuisine - believe me, fresh caribbean fish and local fruits/vegetables beat whatever else amsterdam has got.
1-well, depends on what you mean by "beats amsterdam in february" - personally, i like winter and snow and all that jazz - it never gets over 83F here and i like it like that 2-well, so long as you know what you're talking about...
It might console her more that so very many of us share your sentiment. Not to wish ill on any of the above, but for goodness sakes, who gives a flying ********?
Unfortunately, the comments linking the coverage of this story to the level of whiteness and attractiveness are true. But do not fault the country; blame the racist media. So what are the odds that the Dutch will solve this crime/disappearance in less time than it tood the US to kick the Germans out of Holland?
How is the US media villifying Aruba? It's just a media blitz trying to sell a story. How is that making Aruba bad? P.S. If I was living in Aruba, I'd be annoyed at all the media snooping around, though.
