    Thoughts? Favorite albums?

Sorry, the extent of my knowledge of this band is "Otis" from the 24-hour Party people soundtrack.

Which is a pretty nice song.

The first three or four are the best, although I quite liked "Time Was Gigantic". "LC" is my favorite. Vini Reilly is a god. For those who don't know him, you might recognise him as the guy who played pretty much all of the guitars on Morrissey's Viva Hate LP.

Excellent. How are things in the Mission? I spent a great afternoon going to a couple of funky bars there, and hanging out with a girlfriend of mine who worked/wrote books for Good Vibrations.

As far as Durutti, I'll begin from the beginning.

Too long ago. And frankly, Good Vibrations made a somewhat bigger impression...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these guys were big in the early 80s, right? I remember dancing to them way back in the day. Sort of new wavy proto-goth disco-ish Eurotrash dance stuff? Or was I too drunk to remember?

They might have had a few tracks like that, or maybe some remixes...but most of their stuff is ambient / textured guitars.

Guess I was too drunk. They were early 80s thought, right?
