It's the Scottish cup final today. I hope that the Pars win it. If they do that will bring up the trophy haul of the 'other' Fife teams up to the same number as East Fife, "Fife's most successful football team ever". C'MON THE PARS!
HAIL, HAIL THE PARS HAVE SCORED!!!!! Andrius Skerla with a superb header on 40 mins. Petrov also had a perfectly good goal (IMO) choped off for a foul commited by Henk!
Oh well, East Fife's title of "The greatest team in Fife" reamains well and truly intact. Enjoying the game Celtic fans?..........thought not.
Larson never ceases to amaze me. Just when I think that he is done scoring goals for the Bhoys...he bags 2 more.
I only enjoy Europe these days... the 90s were tough, but at least the domestic games had some meaning to them.
I LOVE CELTIC! i found out bout them @ the begining of this season. and im no wear near them but i love them. they kick so much ass. jus wanted to let ya know. IM SO GLAD THEY WON!
HA HA HA, LOL. Well said Caeser. Flee, what the hell are you talking about? Well, for what it's worth, congratulations to Celtic. Dunfermline played much better 'football' but Celtic were the better team. Celtic beating Dunfermline is like me skinning my wee cousin, most of the time, it's easy and I'll do it, rather than let him beat me. But in the end, to pretend it's any kind of acheivement is actually quite sad.
This guy "flees" to a good team once he sees the chance.....har har har But honestly, i could not help but watch the High;ights with pure joy and pain, as never again will we see Hinrik Larson score in a Celtic Uniform. and why do we need another unifrom? I just bought the black one
Don't worry, you're keeping the black one. It dosen't make sense to have a green away top when your home one is...eh...green. they'll need it when they play Hibs anyway.
This is it. I don't know how much anyone actually enjoys the matches these days, from either side. It's always nice seeing the team play, but it was better in the days when every win was hard-fought and well-deserved.
Look here boys IM ONLY 16 so lay off will ya. i might not know as much bout the bhoys as u but i still like um. and im sure most of u are fat ole boys who jus sit round at ur teles watchin them. BUT i on the other hand ACTUALLY play. so lay off and go kick it. flee~ AIM: CeltsKickazz16
lol I'm only 19 and I play football too. Where are you actually from? And why Celtic? They haven't done too much in Europe this season. And teams like Arsenal, and more to the point Porto, have been far more succesful in their respective leagues. Both ACTUALLY ended up unbeaten, I beleive.
Ah lay off the new guy and give him a chance to learn the ropes. Flee, welcome aboard. If you're going to hang around, you might want to enter in some information about yourself in the user control panel. Or not. But anonymous posters get treated even worse than newbies not knowing the general tenor of the board.
cman, Your a good egg. When all others have been drop kicking Flee in the joy department, you give him a helping hand. Flee, Welcome to Big Soccer! Watch what you say on here to people, you don't know who is posting and what they are like. Many people on BS have played footie either most of their lives or their fair share. I only played in 1 tournament in the US Army at Ft. Knox....btw, we won. We had a Brazilian, Jamaican, and a girl who was all conf.. My roommate played high school and college soccer. He told me to join the team because I ran Cross Country and Track and was fast. I really enjoyed myself. We played about 10 matches. I scored once...I was a novice and a midfielder. Celtic beating Dunfermline is not a big deal, NOW if Dunfermline beat Celtic that would be HUGE news.
I'd just like to say that I wasn't trying to slag off flee in my last post. My questions were all genuine, I was just wondering. I was supporting the Pars on Saturday, not through some demented 'wee team' hatred of the OF, but because if Dunfermline had won, it would have been one of the greatest days of their fans lives. They would have remembered it forever as they would never know when it would happen again. However, to Celtic fans, it's only really worth remembering because it was Larsson's last game. If there were any Pars fans here and they'd won, I'm sure you would have seen loads of posts filled with genuine euphoria, how many Celtic fans have treated it with anything more than a standard "well done Celtic, well done Henrik"? But, with Henrik gone, you may have to actually compete next year. Every cloud has a silver lining.
Very good point. See if there were more supporters of non-OF SPL clubs on here, I bet new SPL supporters like me wouldn't always have to pick between Celtic and Rangers. For example, I love Hearts kits and Edinburgh. I also like Kilmarnock and Motherwell....simply for their names, I know it sounds silly, but I'm being honest.
I don't know why but it seems that non-OF SPL fans really stick to their own teams forums. There's an excellent Scottish football website, www.pieandbovril.co.uk, and it's got really busy, lively 3rd, 2nd, 1st division forums but the SPL one is dire. It used to be deserted but now quite a few OF fans have joined and it's degenerated into a big fight between OF and non-OF fans. It's quite strange now. In Scottish football, there seems to be a big move against the OF by the other fans and it's almost like Celtic and Rangers fans are having to stick together to argue back.
