The University of Notre Dame graduate with train with the Blues today and tomorrow in a bid to earn a Fratton Park deal. His arrival follows Luke McGee’s January move to Bradford and Petar Durin’s Pompey departure. Based on this article about Akron's 1986 team, his father is English (and from the Portsmouth area), so a passport and work permit shouldn't be an issue.

The loan happened, but was a bit of a mirage: Pompey had hoped to loan third-choice keeper Duncan Turnbull to non-league this season for vital first-team experience. Unfortunately, his stay at Dulwich Hamlet was a short one and didn’t involve any appearances. At the age of 22, he is highly regarded by the Blues, yet, concerningly, has very little senior experience. Certainly not enough to warrant being number two in a promotion-hunting side. Alex Bass’ injury has forced Turnbull into the limelight well ahead of schedule. It’s the wrong time for the American. This, of course, is not the end of Turnbull. https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/...ts-your-portsmouth-questions-answered-3119536
